2. Quality and Ego
• Personality of good teachers have tended to be – warm,
friendly, understanding.
• Must be conscious, confident and creative.
• Need to face the fact that the pressure of ego involvement will
be present thought their teaching career.
• When teaching students learn something they would not have
learned without the teacher’s effort.
3. Grooming and Appearance
• Grooming and appearance of teachers is subject to
occasionally.
• As long as it does not distract from or interface with the respect
and confidence the students have in the teacher.
4. Speaking Voice and Quality
• Should be pleasing and more important it should carry a quality
of decisiveness and confidence.
• Personality, grooming and voice a sense of commitment of
being a good teacher.

to the intellectual development of students. It determines in
large measure whether he will expend the necessary effort
to teach for real gains in the intellectual growth of pupils or
will merely go through the formal motions of teaching’.

5. The Importance of Being Yourself
• Teachers are human being and that no one can fulfill every
suggested quality.
• The reason all the qualities are mentioned is to make readers
aware of what is desirable in an art teacher.
6. Personal Efficiency
• Efficient and well organized.
• Good relations with professional colleagues.
• Sometimes overlook the school clerical and custodial staff or
they feel superior to them and let those feelings show.
• Need to take an active interest in school actives.
