2. Overview
My name is Michelle Lai
I started school in 1995 in Hawaii
I graduated from high school
in 2008 at Roosevelt High School
I first went to college at
The University of Hawaii
at Manoa in 2008
When I finish my degree,
I hope to become a piano
and music educator

3. My definition
of educational technology
is learning how to incorporate technology in
the classrooms to keep up with the way
students learn today

5. Kindergarten technology
In Kindergarten, we had a
computer lab at school.
Our classrooms had
chalkboards and whiteboards.
A TV would also be in most of
our classrooms.

6. High school technology
In high school, there were computers
in the library, computer lab, and at
least one was in each classroom.
Most of our classrooms had
whiteboards/chalkboards, overhead
projectors, and TVs.
A few classrooms had laptops.

7. College technology
In college, we are responsible to do
things online such as registering for
classes, checking email, using Laulima,
and using NING.
Lessons are taught by lecturing, writing
on the whiteboard/chalkboard,
projecting material on the overhead/
projector, listening to music with a
music player, and using powerpoint.

8. A vivid technology
learning experience
Through online research,
students can learn about
musicians and different
types of music.

9. A technology I want to use
in my classroom
When I have a classroom of my own, I would want
my students to have a laptop or at least a desktop
at home so I can assign them assignments online.

10. My vision of the classroom
of the future
In the future, I want my
students to be literate with the
use of technology. They can
explore the internet, listen to
music, and maybe post up their
own music online.

11. A challenge for teaching
A challenge that I see might be to always be
updated on the latest technology and being
able to get enough money for it.
