BARSA meaning, ground, is our new year present for CUB, Gaya.
We wish to define it as a place for academic and cultural activities. It
is designed and developed by the post-graduate students (2013-15)
of CUB, Gaya campus. BARSA like to structuralize and organize
programmes on behalf of the students for the students. We would
like to be on the forefront of any activity taking place here with
strong passion for academics.

5. VIBGYOR
VIBGYOR is our film club. It will screen a movie every Saturday.
So we will call it the ‘Saturday Film Club’. Our motto is to make
aware the students about the non-commercial and parallel movies.
VIBGYOR will screen movies with compassion and deep rooted
academic concerns. It will have a jury which selects movies for the
screening. Students will have discussion and discourse about the
movie right after the screening. Indian/International, award-winning,
issue-based movies will be screened under our banner.

6. We hereby introduce before you our platform for debates and
discourses. ‘EXPRESSIONS’. It is the subgroup we form under
BARSA for organizing seminars and debates. As we stated in general
previously, we form our motto purely out of academic interest. We will
debate over issues which has contemporary validity without stepping
out of the academics. EXPRESSIONS will organize its programmes
frequently when an issue turns up or on an historic event. We would like
to utilize fully the available resources, i.e. our academicians and if
possible academicians from outside.

7. JIGYASA will be our quizzers union. Through JIGYASA we are
going to create an ambience inside each student to seek knowledge
from every sphere of science and society. Under this title we will
organize public quiz programmes for the students. We will select
‘Quiz Buff of the Month’ every month through our events.

8. CREATIVITY CORNER is nothing new. Its just a public space
provided to the students to exhibit their creative talents. We would
like to have a place where students can paste their creative writings
like poem, short story or a drawing publicly. We will pick and
present students with talent for singing, speech or playing an
instrument in public both through organized and sudden
programmes.

9. We will design and publish a magazine under BARSA every
semester. This would include the outcomes of VIBGYOR,
Expressions, Jigyasa and Creativity Corner. Relevant parts of
Debates, workshops and Seminars, Film critique and reviews,
student writings will be published in Soft and Hard copies. Also we
will ensure that this magazine will reach the hands of all our friends
pursuing their studies in various prestigious institutions all around
India, thus making sure our name reaches everywhere.

10. LAST BUT NOT LEAST
BARSA will connect with every student of CUB through the
modern amenities like social networking, video sharing and bulk
SMS. Through this the entire world is going to be connected with us
and will watch us closely. This is going to be an ever shining feather
placed at the cap of Central University of Bihar. Inspire us,
inspire yourself…
