Some believe this to be near the execution site of early Saint
Denis. As the legend goes, he tucked his decapitated head

in his name and where his remains are buried.
It was constructed in 1875-1914 on the ruins of a former
abbey as a memorial for lives lost in the Franco-Prussian
war.

the beautiful castle. The public park outside of the chateau is
not only beautiful but has a great view of the castle.

The name of the bridge actually translates to “New
Bridge” although it is the oldest bridge in France.
The bridge started its construction in 1577. The decision
was made by King Henry III

The Pont Alexandre III is an arch bridge that spans the

It is widely regarded as the most ornate, extravagant
bridge in Paris.
When you cross the bridge you get to see beautiful
lamps, cherubs, nymphs, and winged horses on each
end.
