9. 1890-1918: no big success of the working movement
people who striked, were put on the black list -> these
people had no chance for a job anymore
1933: Hitler and his party introduced this day as an
official celebrating day. They used it for gaining more
followers -> not for creating justice
Today: political demonstrations every year
In Berlin and Hamburg: demonstrations are very
forcibly and want to put the focus on poverty and
political drawbacks

14. 1970: terrorists made very forcibly demonstrations for
destroying the turkey
For 10 years: peaceful celebrations on the street with
dancing
