109. The contest rules and instructions were first posted on Facebookas notes in three different languages.
110. The Facebook wall was primarily used by organizers for announcements: contest winners, honorable mentions and even exhibits were all announced this way.
111. Although a Flickr group was also developed, the Facebook community was more active and responded faster with real-time comments.

113. To participate, contestants had to join the FOTOTIERRA! Flickr group via Facebook and post their pictures there (they could later link their pictures on the FOTOTIERRA! Facebook page, if they wished).

115. To date: Announcement has over 4,447 impressions on Facebook. The winners gallery on Flickr has almost 850 views.
