Follow the instructions on the screen to install it.

What’s NEW in this version:
1. Cleaned the site list, fixed some problem sites, removed about 180 'bad' sites, and
added about 200 sites. Totally, it includes about 451 sites (by default) and 54 mail lists.
2. Users can use syntax "{{{...|...}}}", "{{...|...}}" "{...|...}" in rotation macro feature. The
software will recognize the syntax automatically. Each syntax will work as long as they
are not combined.
3. Fixed problems of ' when copy the article from word.
4. Improved category selection.

Introduction
Thank you for your support of Article Post Robot. Article Post Robot is
a piece of software which makes posting articles to article sites and
mail lists easily and automatically. If you have any
questions/suggestions, please send an email to:

Before you use Article Post Robot, please read the following
information carefully. Usually, it will save you a lot of time:

Many article sites/mail lists require users have an account to post
articles. Users will have to register/subscribe an account for
these article sites/mail lists, and update the
account/subscriber information in Article Post Robot.
Otherwise, the post will fail. Right-click mouse on the article
site/mail list window and choose the ‘view article site’, it will open
the article site/mail list in your browser where you can find the
registration information.

If users want to post to need-register article sites. After
register your account, users had better login the site using the
browser at least once. Some sites, in the first time you login, it
will ask you to create a pen name. The software will not
create the pen name automatically.

Each article site has its own category choices for users. In Article
Post Robot, users can choose up to 5 categories. Article Post
Robot uses artificial intelligent algorithm to find the most
appropriate category for user’s article. If the category is not in
Article Post Robot’s preset categories, users can input the
category text in the drop-down-List directly.

Article Post Robot is intended to post article automatically
without any intervention (with the valid login information).
However, Article Post Robot can not control any sites’ changes,
which may make article post fail. When this happened, please send
email to help@ArticlePostRobot.com. Our development team will
try to fix it ASAP.

Each article site/mail list may have ‘publisher guide’. Users should
follow these guides to post the articles.

Each article site is managed by their owners. It is normal that
Article Post Robot failed to post to a site at some time. There
are 2 main possible reasons: 1) The article site is in maintenance.
You can post the article to the article site at a late time. 2) The
article site changed their layout or format. In this case, please let
us know. We will have the update ready ASAP.

Article Post Robot does not have any partnership with any article
sites/mail lists. It is totally up to the decision of the administration
of the article sites/mail lists whether the article will be actually
published on each individual site/list. Article Post Robot can not
guarantee that users’ article will be accepted on the
sites/lists.

Usually, users will get some confirmation emails or subscription
emails from article sites and mail lists. We suggest users use a
free email account as the contact email, such as gmail or
yahoo mail.

Users can install his own copy of Article Post Robot on different PCs
for his own usage. Users can use it on different PCs as long as not
at the exact same time. Article Post Robot will generate
problems in submission if it is used at the same time on
different PCs under the same account.

Installing Article Post Robot

Once you download the zip file, first unzip it;
Double click the Setup Launcher to start installation;
Follow the instructions on the screen to choose the options for the installation;
Once the installation is done, you will see the Article Post Robot shortcut on your
desktop screen.
*** If you are installing a new update, you have to backup your login/subscribe
information before install the new update. Otherwise, you will have to input the
login/subscribe information in the software again. Check download page for details of
how to do backup.

Uninstalling Article Post Robot
Go to your Start menu on the lower left corner of your screen;
Go to All Programs, then click on Article Post Robot. Go over to Uninstall;
Click Uninstall and follow the instructions to uninstall Article Post Robot.

How To Use it?
The first thing to use Article Post Robot is to login your account in ‘Browser’ window.
You will receive a username and password when you order Article Post Robot and the
payment is complete.

Once you've logged in, you can change your password and download Article Post Robot.
If there is an update available, it will notify you automatically. So, you are always using
the latest version.

Article Sites tab shows all the article sites users can post to. Totally, there are about 500
article sites at this moment (06/07/2007). This number changes all the time as more
article sites are added. Users can click title to sort each column. For column ‘Login ID’,
the background color shows whether users need login the site:
Light Blue: The site does not need login to post article;
Light Gray: User should fill in his/her own login information to post article;
Light Green: Users login information is filled in.

For column ‘Index’, the background color shows the status of each site:
Light Green or Light Yellow: The site is enabled;
Light Gray: The site is disabled by users;
Users can choose the menu by Right-Click mouse to disable/enable the sites. By default,
all sites are enabled. If a site is disabled, users will not be able to post articles to it even
the site is selected.

Note that, Right-click mouse on the Article Sites window, it will show more options,
such as: view selected article site, select all article sites, deselect all article sites, change
login information, change notes, delete article sites from the list, etc..

For each article site which needs users login to post articles, users have to:
Use ‘view selected article site’ to go to the article site.
Register a user account on the article site. Most article sites will send a confirmation
email, users need confirm it to finish the registration. Many article sites may ask
users to create a pen name when users login in the first time. After registration is
done, please use your browser to login the article site once to make sure that
you can post articles smoothly.
Use ‘change login information’ to update your login information in Article Post
Robot. In many cases, users use the same login information for more than one article
sites. Users can check the checkbox in front of these article sites, then check the
checkbox ‘Apply this information to all checked article sites’ in Update Article Site
Login Information window. The inputted usename and password will be updated for
all checked article sites.
Once the above steps are finished, select the article sites that you want to post your
articles to by checking the checkbox in front of the article site.

New Feature:

Click “Add Custom Article Sites”, it will pop up Add Custom Sites Form. Users can
use this form to add more article sites to the Article Sites Tab. Right now, it supports 4
types of article sites scripts: Article Dash Board (http://www.articledashboard.com),
Article Beach (http://www.articlebeach.com), Article Friendly (www.articlefriendly.net),
and ArticleMS (http://www.articlems.com). Check these sites to see how these scripts
powered sites look like.

Select Custom Sites’ Site Type and input their Homepage URLs (starts with “http://”) in
the input box (one line for each URL). For example: http://www.bestinfobay.com (article
site is in the top/sub domain) or http://www.bestinfobay.com/myarticles (article site is in
subfolder). Then click ‘Add’. The Custom Sites will be added at the end of Article
Sites Tab. The Page Rank of Custom Sites is automatically set. Note that, the added
Custom Sites may not be compatible with Article Post Robot.

Click “Update Checked Sites Page Rank”, it will update the checked article
sites’ page rank automatically. Since checking Page Rank needs query Google,
between each updating, the updating will pause for 10-15 seconds. Usually, the Page
Rank will not be changed very frequently, users don’t need use this feature very often.

Mail Lists tab shows all the mail lists users can post to. Totally, there are 53 mail lists at
this moment (06/07/2007). This number changes all the time as more mail lists are
added. Users can click title to sort each column. For column ‘Subscriber’, the background
color shows the status of each list:
Light Gray: User should fill in his/her own subscriber information to post article;
Light Green: Users subscriber information is filled in.

For column ‘Index’, the background color shows the status of each list:
Light Green or Light Yellow: The list is enabled;
Light Gray: The list is disabled by users;
Users can choose the menu by Right-Click mouse to disable/enable the lists. By default,
all lists are enabled. If a list is disabled, users will not be able to post articles to it even
the list is selected.

Note that, Right-click mouse on the Mail Lists window, it will show more options,
such as: view selected mail list homepage, select all mail lists, deselect all mail lists,
change subscriber information, change notes, etc.. For each mail list, users have to:
Use ‘view selected mail list homepage’ to go to the mail list’s homepage.
Subscribe to the mail list.
Use ‘change subscriber information’ to update your subscriber information in
Article Post Robot.

In many cases, users use the same subscriber information for more than one mail lists.
Users can check the checkbox in front of these mail lists, then check the checkbox ‘Apply
this information to all checked mail lists’ in Update Mail List Subscriber Information
window. The inputted subscriber information will be updated for all checked mail lists.

Once the above steps are finished, select the mail lists that you want to post your articles
to by checking the checkbox in front of the mail list.

Article Options tab shows some options for the article. Since different article sites
require different set of information, it is important that users should fill in all the
information in this tab. Otherwise, Article Post Robot may fail when posting to certain
article sites. The options are:
Article Title: Right-Click Article Title Files table to add multiple titles/subtitles.
Check the checkbox “Use Random Checked Article Title” and check the
checkbox in front of Article Title Files, different article titles/subtitles will be used
for posting to different article sites. Literally, unlimited number of article title files
can be added.
Article Subtitle: If the article does not have subtitle, just fill in Article Title one more
time.
Category 1-5: Choose the categories the article belongs to. Or, input the
appropriate category into the dropdown listbox directly if the preset categories
don’t cover the topic of the article. On each article site, the categories are different.
Article Post Robot finds the best matched category between the category on the
article site and these 5 categories. Please choose the most important category in drop
down list category 1, the second important category in drop down list category 2,
etc.. We suggest users use all these 5 categories, since that will let Article Post Robot
make the best choice for your articles. In ‘Auto Mode’, if Article Post Robot can’t

find the matched category on the article site, it will skip that site.
Keywords: The keywords used by article sites for indexing. Separate keywords by
commas.
Article Summary: Most article sites only allow less than 150 characters for article
summary. Users can use the first 1 or 2 sentences in the article as article summary.
Right-Click Article Summary table to add multiple article summaries. Check the
checkbox “Use Random Checked Article Summary” and check the checkbox in
front of Article Summary Files, different article summaries will be used for posting
to different article sites. Literally, unlimited number of article summary files can be
added.

FAQ for Article Options:

How to create article title/summary files?
There are several ways to create these files. 1) Fill in title/subtitle in textbox, then right-
click Article Title table, select Save Article Title. Title/subtitle can be different. In order
to create multiple Title files, users have to do this multiple times; 2) Use rewrite software,
i.e. http://www.ContentRewriterPro.com , to generate multiple Article Title Files
automatically, and then add them to the title table. Users can add them one by one, or add
them from a folder. 3) Put all titles in one txt file, each line is a different title. Then, add
the txt file to the title table. Note that, in the titles, users can use “{{{…|…}}}” syntax to
rotate text directly which makes the title even more unique. Details are explained in
Article Content Options.

Article Content tab shows article content which can be input directly in this tab or load
from files. User can also save the article content if it has been changed. Some things that
users should pay attention to:
Most article sites only accept short articles. In order to get maximum exposure,
Article Post Robot suggests that the article content should be less than 1000 words.
Most Article Sites do not allow or only allow very limited HTML tags in article
content. Article Post Robot suggests that only use plain text for article content.

User-Defined Macro
Rotate Text

Select Article Source for the Article Content:
Post Below Article: Post the article in Article Content Box directly. All the article
sites will get this article.
Post Random Articles in Directory (folder): Select a directory of Article Content
(.txt file only) by using button ‘Folder’. Article Post Robot will randomly select one
of them to post to the site. For example, if you have 10 article content in the
directory, and you select 10 article sites to post to, then all these 10 article sites may
get different article content (no guarantee).
Post Random Composited Articles in Directory (folder): Select a directory of
Article Content (.txt file only) by using button ‘Folder’. Article Post Robot will

randomly select Paragraphs from these article content and composite an article to
post to the site. For example, if you have 5 article content in the directory, and each
of them has 6 paragraphs, then you may have 5*5*5*5*5=3125 composited articles,
and you will have unique article on each article site you select to post to. Note that,
1) the article content in the directory should have the same # of paragraphs, and the
corresponding paragraph should have the same meaning. Otherwise, the composited
article may not be meaningful to human readers. 2) Within each paragraph, there
should not have any “hard-return” (when use notepad.exe open the article txt file and
uncheck menu Format->Word Wrap, one paragraph should be in one line).

Users can use User-Define Macro directly in the original content, including title,
summary, article content, and author bio. The syntax is: {{{Value1|Value2|Value3…}}}.
Value1, Value2, Value3 are the texts that will be rotated. They could be a word, a
sentence, a paragraph, or a block of text (more than a paragraph). The User-Define Macro
can be embedded in other User-Define Macros. Literally, the number of Values that can
be used is unlimited. For example:

The original text is: “The weather is nice. I really like the weather in this sunny valley”.
We can use User-Define Macro in the original text. For example, we can use:
{{{The weather is nice|It is a {{{sunny|nice}}} day}}}, I really {{{like|love}}} the
weather in this {{{sunny|}}} {{{valley|area}}}.
Then, the generated content could be:
1) It is a sunny day, I really love the weather in this valley.
2) The weather is nice, I really like the weather in this sunny area.
3) It is a nice day, I really like the weather in this sunny valley.
Note that,
{{{sunny|nice}}} is an User-Define Macro that is embedded in another User-Define
Macro;
The above example can generate many different unique sentences;
User-Defined Macro can be used in Title/Summary/Content/Author Bio.

Each time the “Review” button is clicked, it will show the rotated version information
about the article. Of course, if no User-Defined Macro is used and no random
title/summary/content/author bio is selected, then the information will be the same. Note
that, this button is moved to “Others Option” tab as “Preview” button.

Replace Line Breaks with : On some article sites, line breaks will not be converted
correctly if you use plain test for posting. For example, you have 2 paragraphs:

This is paragraph 1, there is paragraph1…..

If you posted it as plain text (on some article sites), the posted article could be in the
wrong format. It will look like:
=============================
This is paragraph 1, there is paragraph1…..This is paragraph2, this is paragraph2…..
=============================

All the line breaks are lost (because of the article sites’ convertor).

If we replace link breaks as , then it will look like
=============================
This is paragraph 1, there is paragraph1….. This is paragraph2, this is
paragraph2….. 
=============================

In this way, when it is browsed by readers, it will be shown as the correct format.

Most article sites, if not all, will accept the added .

User-Defined Macro:
Rotate Text

Author Options tab shows author’s information that users want to use when posting the
articles. The options are:
First Name and Last Name.
Email: Others may use this email to contact the author.
Website: Author’s website. Others may go to author’s website for more information
about the article or related information.
Location: Author’s location.
Biography: Author’s biography. This will be used as the resource box information
when posting the article. Most article sites only allow short resource box
information. Article Post Robot suggests limit its length to within 200 characters.
Pen Name: If a site allowed multiple pen names for one author, Article Post Robot
will try to use the matched pen name. Otherwise, it just uses the default pen name.

Users can edit, load or save the Author Option File. Note that, right-click mouse on the
Author Option File window, it will show more options. Users can add more than one
Author Option File to the list. If the ‘Randomly use Author Option File’ is checked, when
posting articles, it will randomly use the Author Options chosen from the list. This will
make the article looks more unique on different article sites/mail lists, since it uses
different resource/author-bio box.

Similar to explained on Page 13, in version V1.7, users can import multiple author
resource from a single txt file. Each author resource should be put on one single line,
and other settings, such as First Name, Last Name, Website, etc., should be filled in too.

Email Template tab shows the template of email which will be posted to mail lists. User
can edit, load or save the template. Users can also preview the email content. In the email
template, users can use several MACROS defined in the following:
%%ARTICLE_TITLE%% : article’s title.
%%ARTICLE_SUBTITLE%% : article’s subtitle.
%%ARTICLE_CATEGORY%% : article’s category.
%%ARTICLE_KEYWORDS%% : article’s keywords.
%%ARTICLE_SUMMARY%% : article’s summary.
%%ARTICLE_CONTENT%% : article’s content.
%%AUTHOR_FIRSTNAME%% : author’s first name.
%%AUTHOR_LASTNAME%% : author’s last name.
%%AUTHOR_NAME%%: %%AUTHOR_FIRSTNAME%% +
%%AUTHOR_LASTNAME%% , author’s full name.
%%AUTHOR_EMAIL%% : author’s email.
%%AUTHOR_WEBSITE%% : author’s website.
%%AUTHOR_LOCATION%% : author’s address location.
%%AUTHOR_BIO%% : author’s biography (resource box).
%%ARTICLE_WORD_COUNT%% : article’s word count.
%%AUTHOR_PENNAME%%: author’s pen name.

Users can use these MACROS to send customized emails to the mail list.

Other Options tab shows the options that are not included in previous tab. They are:
SMTP Configuration: SMTP Server, SMTP Port, Secure Connection, User
Name and Password which are used to login SMTP server for sending emails. Users’
ISP should provide the information for their service. Many SMTP services use
different SMTP port. Note that, even you do not have the information, you can still
post articles to article sites.
Pause Time Between Posts: After Article Post Robot posts the article to one article
site/mail list, it will pause some time. So that, users ISP will not think users are
sending out SPAM.
Post Configurations: Post to selected article sites and Post to selected mail lists.
Users can select one of them or both at the same time. In order to post the article,
users MUST select at least one of these two options.
Allow PopUp Window: Sometimes, some article sites may popup Ads. Article Post
Robot will try to block these Ads automatically. However, in some cases, the block
may fail, which could stop the software. Users could use this option unblock Ads and
let Article Post Robot skip the article site. Usually, this option should be
unchecked.
Check Virus Before Posting: It is always safer to let Article Post Robot check
virus before posting. This option should always be checked. However, in some
computer systems, because of different configurations of different firewalls, this

checker may not work very well, and it may block posting. Users can uncheck it. In
both cases, users should always have anti-virus software/firewall installed when
running Article Post Robot. Article sites are always under virus attack, and we
should always be cautious.
Post Method for Article Sites: Manual Post and Automatic Post. Article Post Robot
provides two post methods for posting articles to article sites. Posting to mail lists is
automatically.
o Manual Post: Article Post Robot will login the article site and fill in all the
information. Users can check the filled information and make sure
everything is fine or make some changes, then users have to manually post
the article (click submit link/button) and then click ‘Next’ button in
‘Browser’ window to post the article to next article site.
o Automatic Post: Article Post Robot will login the article site, fill in all the
information, and click submit link/button automatically. Users do not need
do anything else.

After launch Article Post Robot, “Start Post Robot” button is disabled. Users should
login the account from “Browser” tab. Once login, do NOT click any buttons/links in the
login page. Then, “Start Post Robot” button will be enabled.

Right-Click Mouse to
have more options

History tab shows the history of users’ article posting. It records the date, article title,
number of posted article sites and number of posted article mail lists. Users can load the
history record to check which sites the article has been posted to. When users post an
article, the software will check the history records to see whether the article has been
posted to the site already. If it was yes, the software will let users know, so that the article
will not be posted to the same site more than once. By default, Article Post Robot only
keeps the recent 90 days records.

Application Menu includes some useful features.

Backup/Restore Configurations: These two functions are useful when a new update is
available. Users can use menu ‘Backup Configurations’ or ‘Restore Configurations’ to

backup/restore configurations which includes:
Article sites’ login information;
Mail lists’ subscription information;
Article Posting History;

Restore function will not restore user added custom sites. Users have to copy
them to a safe folder before uninstall Article Post Robot, then copy them back to the
ArticleSites folder (under where APR was installed) after installing the new version.
All the user added custom sites' Page Rank are set as -1 (from version V1.7, Page
Rank will be updated automatically when it is added). Please send us an email if you
want to add the article sites to the default list.

For ‘Backup Configurations’, Article Post Robot will ask users to choose a temporary
directory. Then, it will create three subdirectories: ArticleSites, MailList, and History,
and copy all the current files to the temporary directory. After installed the new version
Article Post Robot, users can use ‘Restore Configurations’ to import the configuration
information back to the new version. Thus, users do not have to update their
login/subscription information manually for the new version Article Post Robot.

Update Site/List Database: In current version, this feature has been disabled. We will
make it available in the future versions.

Save/Load Project: Users can use menu ‘Save Project’ or ‘Load Project’ to save/load
all the options to a project file (.app file). Use project file can save users more time since
you do not need input some information, such as author options and other options, again.
It also helps users to keep the record of the article posting.

When all the options are set, click ‘Start Post Robot’ button to start Article Post Robot. If
the post method is ‘Automatic Post’, then users do not need do anything else. Just
relax and watch your article being posted to article sites/ mail lists. If the post method is
‘Manual Post’, users need manually click button/link in ‘browser’ tab to finish the
post, and then click ‘Next’ button to continue on next article site. Note that,
sometimes, users need scroll down the browser window to find the button/link for finish
the post. Users may use ‘Stop’ button to stop the posting at any time.
