Action "Small Entrepreneurship" was another task
carried out by the participants of the
international Comenius project "Today’s child,
tomorrow’s entrepreneur" in Publiczne Gimnazjum
im. Jana Pawła II w Wołczynie. The purpose of
this task was to arouse in students the spirit
of entrepreneurship and self-reliance, and to
encourage them to take the initiative and active
involvement in the life of the school community.

2. The action required strong
commitment and effort from all
participants. The students
designed a commercial stand,
created leaflets and
information posters. From the
EU funds we purchased all the
necessary materials and
packaging for baking goods.
Finally, the day before the
action students baked different
cakes and other sweets and prepared it all for
sale. Early in the morning of March 25, 2013
students divided into two groups. One group with
teachers sold the baked goods at the local
market while the other team members encouraged

3. their peers and school staff to purchase the
sweets at the school fair.
The initiative of students met with great
interest of the inhabitants. Clients for the
delicious pastries and supporters of the
students’ initiative were many so enterprising
students did not freeze too much in that cold
morning. The action was successful, all the
"sweets" were sold, and the funds raised were
used to finance a trip of this group of
students to Cracow and Wieliczka, which will be
held May this year. Similar activities were
organized by students from schools from Romania,

4. Spain and Slovakia participating in the project.
Soon we will be hosting them all in Wołczyn and
our school.
