The application of moral stages
1. Apply a model of decision making to one moral issue, which includes a properly formed conscience, and the application of Scripture and Church teaching The Application
2. Informed Conscience 1798: A well-formed conscience is upright and truthful. It formulates its judgments according to reason, in conformity with the true good willed by the wisdom of the Creator. Everyone must avail himself of the means to form his conscience. It is also important to know the position of the Catholic Church on this issue.
3. Task: Using Kohlberg’s Stages of Moral Development, students to respond to the scenarios found in the links below. Students are to select two films and one article. The films are to be processed first as a class from the options below. You are to: Define the issue being addressed. Find out what information is required to make an informed conscience. Using this information, create responses from people in a minimum of three different stages of moral development (for each scenario). Justify why these people chose this course of action. Complete this process for all three scenarios
