Analyst, Emerging Technologies, developing policies for smart grid, clean energy,
energy efficiency, and climate change mitigation in California. Actively participating in
current energy storage and energy efficiency proceedings. Writing white papers on
emerging energy generation technologies and smart grid. Developing CPUC’s Thought
Leaders Series featuring visionary experts proposing their views on the critical challenges
related to CPUC policies on climate change, smart grid, and clean energy. Led the effort
to create a proactive Water Action Plan for California privately-owned water utilities, and
implementing these policies.

market for optical access equipment of a high profile start-up company, in Asia-Pacific
and Latin America. Worked closely with Value-Added-Resellers to develop the market

Deutsche Telekom Business Development 1/97 to 4/00:
T-Nova North America:
Chief Operating Officer: Started-up USA research and development subsidiary for
Deutsche Telekom in San Mateo. Executive responsibilities included: finance, corporate
policies, human resources, business development, legal matters, operations, and
marketing.
ThinkOne, Inc.:
Chief Financial Officer: Negotiated and implemented an integration with the local France
Telecom research and development organization for a unified USA R&D corporation
(ThinkOne, Inc.) founded in the San Francisco Bay area. Executive responsibilities
included finance, corporate policies, human resources, business development, legal
matters, operations, and marketing.
Executive Founding Sponsor of Silicon Valley World Internet Center, located in Palo
Alto, California.
DT Advanced Solutions:
President: Deutsche Telekom's Board of Directors approved my business plan in
December, 1996, for the founding of the USA research and development subsidiary
company in the Silicon Valley. On April 1, 1997, I founded Deutsche Telekom
Advanced Solutions in Palo Alto. Subsequently organized and led a team of 12 engineers
and business managers to evaluate, test, and develop new Internet and
telecommunications services in partnership with leading high tech companies.

3. Deutsche Telekom, Inc.: 5/91 to 1/97
Regional Director: Opened Western Region office for Deutsche Telekom in May, 1991.
With a small sales and marketing team, managed and expanded telecommunications
between the Western US and Germany. Exceeded sales targets. Organized successful
marketing campaign. Published a quarterly newsletter. Developed strategic business
plans for Internet and telecommunications services.
AT&T: 7/88 to 5/91
International Account Executive: Planned and delivered international services for
business customers in the Silicon Valley. Stimulated AT&T international
telecommunications revenue growth in the Silicon Valley by over 50 percent to $1.5
million monthly. Functioned as the international telecommunications expert and liaison.
Won several sales awards, and developed Sales Tool Kit for AT&T's international sales
force.
AT&T: 6/83 to 7/88
Supervisor, International Marketing: Responsible for the development of an overall
strategy for expanding telecommunications services in the USA and internationally.
Managed a project which led to the introduction of AT&T's very successful
USADIRECT service globally.
Assistant Manager, Treasury: Conducted financial and statistical studies to support
corporate return on investment testimony for public regulatory organizations.

Economist: Cross-examined and critically evaluated testimony of experts, and wrote
regulatory decisions based on economic and financial analysis.
