components for the atomic

and made in a “dry county”

14. moonshine!
it’s a popular, home made,
illegal kind of spirit.
it was even more popular
when selling alcohol was
illegal in the US

make moonshine

but what do you do?

17. church!
TN is on the “bible belt,” where most
of the strong christians are.
most people are christian and go to
church regularly, and some take it
*very* seriously.

18. pets!
we treat them like part
of the family. really.
this was one of my baby
brothers :)

19. outdoor stuff!
we got the “smokies,” one of
the biggest parks in the US

20. hiking in the smokies :)

21. and we got no real beaches, but
we have some pretty lakes

23. and we get to play in the
snow a few times in the
winter :)
but (thankfully!) not
nearly as much as those
wisconsin folks

24. we go clubbing too

25. and we do some contra-
dancing... it’s not that
popular, but it’s so-much-
fun

26. we got country music,
lots of it.

country star. famous for
her music, acting, and...

28. we also have bluegrass,
very traditional and one
of the coolest music
genres I’ve heard.
no percussion, no brass,
just strings. and the
fiddle. oh the fiddle.

29. and all this music stuff
has its high point at
bonnaroo, one of the
biggest music festivals in
the US

30. it’s HUGE! in a farm, in a
very very hot and humid
area, everybody camping

39. biscuits and gravy! yummy!

40. grits... don’t really taste
like anything to me. you
can put cheese and
butter to make it salty,
or jam to make it sweet.
good, not my favorite.

41. good lord! I’d trade my
brother for a sweet
potato casserole

42. hot dogs!
they’re pretty different from ours.
the hot dog itself looks more like
the sausages we have here, and
they’re grilled. also usually there
isn’t much besides the bun and the
hot dog.

43. sweetened iced tea!
I think it’s the number
one thing tennesseans
miss when they leave the
south lol

44. and pink lemonade!
it was just weird first
time I saw it, but tastes
pretty good. sweeter
than regular lemonade.

45. and corn dogs!
it’s like a deep fried hot dog made
with a corn based flour... they’re
good!
talking about deep frying... well,
we like deep frying...

we deep fry oreos lol
