1. Peter’s Family Outing by Daniyal Last Sunday, Peter’s father decided to take the family out. Everyone agreed to go to the beach as it was a beautiful day. They packed their things and left. Peter’s family reached the beach and found a spot under a shady tree. Mother unpacked while Peter, his father and sister changed into their swimming attire. They raced into the sea for a swim. They dived and splashed around in the water. They had lots of fun. After a while, Peter’s mother called them up to eat. They had sandwiches and fruits while listening to music. Peter’s family had a wonderful outing!

2. At the Beach by Boon Siong Last Saturday, it was a bright and sunny day. My family and I decided to go for a picnic at the beach. We packed some sandwiches, tit-bits and drinks in our picnic basket. We put all our belongings into the car and headed off. When we reached the beach, we unpacked our bags. The beach was very crowded. My brothers swam in the sea. Father and I built a sandcastle with a spade and bucket. We were very excited. We played until we got very tired and hungry. My mother got ready some sandwiches and drinks for the family. Then, we sat down to enjoy our food. Everyone was having fun! I hope we could have another family outing soon.

3. Going to the Beach by Yaxuan It was the school holidays. It was hot and sunny too. Jane’s family was bored so they decided to go to the beach. They packed goggles, swimming costumes, suntan lotion, sun-glasses and a beach ball. After packing their things, Jane suggested that they have a picnic on the beach and her family agreed. So they packed chicken, sandwiches, satay, fishballs, canned drinks, fruit juice and a radio. When they arrived at Changi Beach, it was crowded with people. Soon, they found a spot where they could put their things. Jane and her brother were so excited that in a flash, they had already changed into their swimming costumes! Then, they headed for the water while their parents unpacked the food and things. While Jane and her brother were swimming, they also saw some people building sandcastles and sun-tanning. After three periods of swimming and finding shells, tye felt hungry. So they came out of the water and ran towards their parents and started tucking ravenously into the entire spread of food on the mat. Their mother said, “Both of you are indeed hungry!” It was an enjoyable day at the beach!

4. Sam’s Family Outing by Shaquille Last Saturday was a bright and sunny day. Sam’s friends wanted to go for a picnic. Sam liked the idea and suggested that they packed some snacks for the picnic. When they arrived at the beach, they decided to find a place to sit and unpack. They found a spot under a coconut tree. They boys had fun swimming and building sandcastles. The boys got hungry after a while. The boys ate their food hungrily. Soon, it was time to go home. They mad sure that they threw their rubbish into the rubbish bin before leaving the beach. They had had a great time!

5. A Day at the Beach by Ryan Last Saturday, as it was a sunny day, my parents decided to bring us to the East Coast Park beach. When we heard the news, we jumped for joy. As fast as lightning, we put on our swimming costumes and clothes. Then, we packed our goggles, spade and bucket into the boot of the car. When we reached our destination, it was very crowded. But, we managed to find a shady spot to put our things. Next, my sister and I headed straight for the water. Along the way, we saw some children building sandcastles and some people sun-tanning. A man even buried half of his body in the sand. While we were in the water, we played “Water Attack” whereby I splashed sea-water at my sister and she would do the same to me. Soon, it was time for lunch. We were famished and ha d a quick but delicious lunch. After that, we packed up and went home. We had a wonderful time at the beach that day.

6. A Day at the Beach by Horng Shiuh Last Saturday, it was a bright and sunny day. John and his family decided to go to the beach. They packed their beach toys and swimming costumes in a bag and other things in another bag. Then, they put all the bags in the car boot. Then, they headed to the beach. When they arrived at the beach, John and his sister were extremely excited. They quickly unpacked their things and changed into their swimming costumes. Then, they ran towards the sea. On the way, they saw many people building sandcastles and some were sun-bathing under the sun. Soon, they reached the sea. They dived into the sea and swam. They felt extremely happy. After some time, they felt hungry. So, they swam back to shore. They dashed back to the picnic mat. Their parents were listening to some music. They had an extremely wonderful day!

7. At the Beach by Haidah Last Sunday was a bright and sunny day. The birds were chirping happily. The trees swayed to and fro. It was a great day for John and his family to go for a family outing at the beach. They packed their bags into the car boot and headed off. When they reached the beach, they unpacked their bags and changed into their swimming costumes. They saw many people at the beach. It was crowded. John decided to build some sandcastles. He took out his spade and bucket. Mary wanted to go for a swim. She put on her goggles and dived into the sea. John’s parents rested under a shady tree and enjoyed listening to some music. After a while, they felt hungry. They ate their packed lunches. They had a wonderful time at the beach and really enjoyed themselves.

8. At the Beach by Gabriel Last Saturday morning, John’s family decided to go to the beach. They packed some swimming costumes, a picnic basket, spade and buckets and goggles into the car boot and headed off. When they arrived at the beach, they unpacked their things. After that, they started building sandcastles. Others were very excited when they saw the sea and headed for it. It was very fun as they swam and played in the sea. As it was a sunny day, the cooling sea water was refreshing. They hoped to come again when the beach was less crowded. By noon time, their stomachs were grumbling and they were looking forward to eat. They gobbled down the food prepared for them while their parents enjoyed some music. It was a day they will never forget.
