Additional balls may be placed around the field for use during a match if they meet the requirements for balls outlined in Law 2 and are under the referee's control. If an extra ball enters the field during play, the referee will only stop play if it interferes; otherwise play will continue and the ball will be removed at the earliest opportunity. The referee has sole discretion over extra balls on the field during a match.

Additional balls may be placed around the field of play

the referee shall stop the match only if it interferes with

Play shall be restarted by a dropped ball in the position
where the match ball was at the time when the match
