A brief exposition on visual learner's characteristics, and how to exploit them.

2. What is a learning style? A learning style is the way us students take advantage of whatever resources we can get to learn as much as possible, also using techniques and strategies to add to the learning experience

3. Visual LearningStyle One of the learning styles that some people use is the visual style. This style, as it’s name mentions, focuses on visual material and methods to improve the attention and learning experience of each individual

4. Visual Learners’ Characteristics Visual learners, as Kinesthetic and Auditory learners do, have specific characteristics that make their learning methods unique and their time, more prolific. These will now be listed, and properly explained

5. Not good at following verbal appointments: Visual learners can follow instructions better if they’re shown how to, rather than being explained verbally. They don’t get distracted easily: Visual learners are good at focusing, and once their mind is set on something, it’s difficult to distract them. They prefer to show rather than to talk: Visual learners express themselves better with gestures and indications rather than talking. They usually draw in class: When bored or simply not motivated, they usually doodle, to entertain themselves. Prefer gesturing rather than talking: Visual learners are better at gesturing and showing emotion via the use of their body, more than they are by talking.

6. They sometimes speak out loud: Sometimes, they feel that if they talk louder, more people will pay attention, or even understand what they’re saying. They dislike exposing things in front of others: Visual learners are usually shy, and don’t enjoy getting too much attention, nor being in front of a crowd. They know how to use the dictionary properly: Due to the persistent usage of their sight sense, they can find words on the dictionary way faster than other people. They usually watch rather than speaking: As said before, they’re mostly shy, and prefer to listen and watch while learning rather than speaking in public. They focus on the details of a new concept: When learning new concepts, they try to understand key words, to process the information better.

7. They’re mostly quiet and careful: Visual learners are known for worrying a lot, and for trying not to make mistakes or draw any attention into them. Their memory works better with faces rather than names: Due to the fact that remembering faces is a visual task, they usually remember faces way better than names. They’re usually tidy: They like to keep things close and organized, so they’re able to access them when needed. They think thoughtfully before acting: Visual learners tend to think for a lot of time before doing something, due to their fear of making mistakes. They usually enjoy visual art, such as paintings: Paintings and other imagery is enjoyed by Visual learners because it stimulates their eyes and mind, making them think.
