The children at ACCA Child Development Center
were fortunate to have a visit from the Fairfax
Volunteer Fire Department several weeks ago. A
puppet show was performed that taught the
children some basics about fire safety. Ms. Jennifer
and Ms. Fayza’s four-year-old class have been
continuing this process by planning a trip to the
neighborhood fire station and making a fire truck
from found materials.
THANK YOU!!!
Also this week, RIF of Northern Virginia and the 2011 was full of challenges and improvements. Our
CDC hosted a literacy promotion event and gave children achieved and learned so much. We should
be proud of their accomplishments. But, none of this
each enrolled child a free book to choose and take would have been possible without the dedication of a
home. One of our wonderful parents volunteered to committed teaching and administrative staff, very
read to each classroom. The children had such fun supportive boards (ACCA and CDC), generous
and had the importance of reading presented to funders and, more importantly, great parents! Thank
you so very much for all your help, understanding
them as a model. and assistance.
