- Before you begin – make sure you have your props! I don’t even understand how someone could go propless.
- – Think about your surroundings. Is your dishwasher going? Are you outside near road construction? Are you shooting at a conference with loud drunk people? Chances are your video camera’s mic does not direct toward your subject. Should you use a mic? Should you escape to a more quiet spot, or is the noise part of the story? I allow for my dog and kids as ambient noise… it’s part of my “schtick”… but it is not part of everyone’s “schtick”
- I am always surprised by the people who post videos of themselves being shy. I’m like, “Whut the whut?!” Personality, pep… but not hyper, and don’t apologize for not posting in awhile. Just be you, be passionate, and get in close…
