2. HD CAMERA
An example of hardware we used was the HD cameras and a tripod
which we took home from school to film on a weekend. From using
these I have learnt firstly how to record, change the settings to adjust
lighting and sound, how to zoom and focus.With a lot of practise
already from filming the preliminary task I feel that I have gained a lot
of experience and managed to learn how to hold the camera correctly
as well as using it to film the different shot types.The cameras are
very big and heavy so the tripod came in use to keep the camera
steady for wide shots etc.We had to put a tape inside the camera to
record our opening and from there we were able to transfer what was
saved onto the Apple Macs and begin the editing process.

3. FINAL CUT EXPRESS
The software that we used to edit our opening was Final
Cut Express on the Mac settings.We used this because it
is a simple to use and high quality program for editing
footage.We had many different shots and scenes tat we
had recorded. Final Cut Express allowed us to review the
footage and cut out shots we didn’t want/need any
longer. Eventually we were left with the scenes we
needed to use for the opening.Through Final Cut express
we were able to add in the fade in the beginning, add in
the titling sequence/ opening credits so the audience
knew who produced and directed the film. It also
allowed us to add sound effects, the background theme
tune as well as the voice over we recorded separately on
a recording device which we added via blutooth.

4. Once filming of the footage had been completed we
ad to transfer it from the tape onto the Macs by
plugging in the camera to the computer using a USB
lead to the back of the Mac.We then rewind the
footage to the beginning and then played it through
so that it could be uploaded onto Final Cut. Once we
has our footage on the Final Cut Software we were
able to begin the editing process.
