7. To use microphone (mic) Click once to talk Mic active when yellow Click once again to finish

8. Microphone (mic) If someone forgets to switch off Click mic next to their name – this switches off & removes mic, click again to restore

9. Everyone click hands up! 1. In order of “hands up” introduce yourself (max 1 minute each) 2. When you finish your intro click “hand up” to put the hand down

10. Text chat 1. Be aware – Moderators can see all chat, even private communications 2. With practise and planning your windows you can monitor chat as you present 3. If you have additional moderator they should help monitor for you (answer if they can or collect questions)

19. Application Share Sharing a region Use for demos Shares selected area Less resource heavy than full desktop share All data goes to host servers & back so takes time to appear on all screens Need accurate sizing Can be accidentally covered

22. WebTour To take audience to a particular website Uses participant’s own browser Allows people to explore at their own pace within a site Tick “TourGuide” to guide through a site &/or to bring all back to same page as you Can’t be used on password protected sites

23. Video Bandwidth! Best used briefly at start Then close down Preview before transmit Transmit goes “live”

24. Multimedia Flash, MPEG, MPEG4, WMV, MP3, Bandwidth! Participants must have player! Can be preloaded or use URL Shows loading progress for each participant. All green = fully loaded for everyone

25. As a presenter: A profile is good but not essential Tools > Preferences Take Care! All info can be seen by anyone who can see your profile!

26. Accessibility Change text size in the conversation &/or your own message field

27. Sharing links on whiteboard Select link > Ctrl C > Click tool > click on wbd > Ctrl V Share a favourite link
