1. Education WSA/SAT Study Materials
• Colleges and universities provide necessary trainings for individuals wishing to enter professional careers.
• Develop students’ creativity, insight, and analytical skills.
• Such diverse professions require college education.
• The development of new technologies and the globalization of world economy have created high demand
for workers with computeracy, communicative skills, and other occupational skills.
• Employers increasingly seek for college graduates who have gained the critical thinking and problem-
solving skills necessary for the changing economic conditions.
• Living away from home, family and friends can introduce unexpected challenges. Campus residence halls
provide common settings for students to form new bonds with peers who share similar experiences.
• Other students form social networks by joining student organizations or participating in extracurricular
activities.
• The general roles of faculty are teaching, research, and service to the institution, the profession, and the
community.
• Universities tend to be more multipurpose than colleges in their mission and factions. Since universities
offer advanced study toward graduate and professional degrees, faculties are expected to do original
research in their fields of academic specialization.
• Academic programs in professional fields such as social work or teacher education often require clinical
experiences and internships. In these programs, students spend time at a clinic, agency, or school to
observe the work of a professional in the field.
• Require students to engage in a community service project. (consider community services and essential
part of a well-rounded education).
• Many schools offer distance education programs that use technologies to carry instructions to student off-
campus locations.
• Colleges and universities offer a range of extracurricular activities that can enhance the overall experience
of college students. (serve on various institutional committees)
• Colleges and universities have many of the same problems found in the larger society, such as violence,
crime, alcohol, drug and sexual abuse.School policies try to govern these problems and reduce their
negative effect.
• The cost of attending colleges and universities has steadily increased since the 1980s. At that time, some
states began to reduce the percentage of their budget devoted to higher education because they had to meet
rising costs for medicare,transportation, prisons, and other public services.
• More than 10 percent of full-time college students work full-time to pay for their college education.
Others mostly work part-time to help offset the costs of attending college.
• Residence halls usually have their own student-governing organizations that set rules and procedures for
the facilities.
• Some colleges and universities allow students to live in fraternity or sorority houses off or near the
campus.
• Business and government leaders count on colleges and universities to provide occupational and public
life.
• Provide students with a broad-based liberal arts foundation of learning that may have no direct vocational
application.
• Chinese government will give financial support to students who cannot afford the rural boarding schools.
• Long-distance learning should be developed to proved a possible solution to the lack of educational
resources in rural areas.
• The current situation is that they very few children make it beyond high school, while those who quit find
it extremely difficult to find jobs. Frustrated and disillusioned, some experience downward spirals, even
into crime. Local governments should provide opportunities for these young people to receive vocational
education, as well as guidance for those entering the labor market.
• The country needs a national committee to ensure the rights and interests of children, particularly the
millions of rural children who have been to left behind by parents working in cities.
• The best-laid plans of coaches do not always bring harmony on teams. However, scholarships can be at
the heart of the unrest.
1. Education WSA/SAT Study Materials
• A teacher is fundamental in shaping our children. It is of utmost importance for a teacher that he should
have the leadership skills and find the best style of teaching for the students he is teaching.
• The internet base or hybrid(traditional and internet mixed course) started to flow into the mainstream
education.
• The decade of the 1980s saw an explosion in computer technology and computer usage that deeply
changed society.
• One of the major goals of the American school system is to provide all children with equal educational
opportunities. (minority students)
• We convince ourselves that we are preparing to go out into the world where we will succeed by our own
motivations, limited by nothing except for our own free will.
• Society, through education, aims to control our children by limiting their independence and teaching them
to conform to society.
• Violence is in the television, and the children who view it are often pulled into the realistic world of
violence scenes, sometimes with devastating results.
• The study-abroad experience seems to enhance their academic capabilities, and also send a positive and
encouraging message to students with their instructors being role-models.
• The world is indeed one global village. We live among determined, well-educated, and strongly motivated
competitors. Americans compete with them for international standing markets, not only with products but
also with the ideas of America’s laboratories and neighborhood workshops.
• (Active learning) By the lesson centered on the students, they feeltheir role in the activity is important.
• Today, our children are faced with the growing threat of violence and crime in their classrooms.
• School violence has become a matter of increasing concern in recent years.
• An effective teacher has the power to shape and mold the lives of young children. They have knowledge
of their subject. They are very organized and clear with their students, and they show great warmth and
enthusiasm.
• Achievement tests can be used to help a teacher assess a student’s strengths and weaknesses in a particular
subject. These tests are used to tell how well school programs are doing or to give a picture of the skills
and abilities of students.
• Writing as it exists in this world can be interpreted in an infinite amount of ways. Some believe it to be
communication, some self-expression. Some believe that it is a tool to explain oneself; others think it
complicates things.
• Private Schools 1. Students that graduate from private schools tend to be better prepared for college. 2.
Private schools allow the parents and the student to decide which school they feelwill give the student the
best education possible.
• Public schools offer diversity. Here students can find people who are just like them and can associate
better.

Education WSA/SAT Study Materials • Colleges and universities provide necessary trainings for individuals wishing to enter professional careers. • Develop students’ creativity, insight, and analytical skills. • Such diverse professions require college education. • The development of new technologies and the globalization of world economy have created high demand for workers with computeracy, communicative skills, and other occupational skills. • Employers increasingly seek for college graduates who have gained the critical thinking and problem- solving skills necessary for the changing economic conditions. • Living away from home, family and friends can introduce unexpected challenges. Campus residence halls provide common settings for students to form new bonds with peers who share similar experiences. • Other students form social networks by joining student organizations or participating in extracurricular activities. • The general roles of faculty are teaching, research, and service to the institution, the profession, and the community. • Universities tend to be more multipurpose than colleges in their mission and factions. Since universities offer advanced study toward graduate and professional degrees, faculties are expected to do original research in their fields of academic specialization. • Academic programs in professional fields such as social work or teacher education often require clinical experiences and internships. In these programs, students spend time at a clinic, agency, or school to observe the work of a professional in the field. • Require students to engage in a community service project. (consider community services and essential part of a well-rounded education). • Many schools offer distance education programs that use technologies to carry instructions to student off- campus locations. • Colleges and universities offer a range of extracurricular activities that can enhance the overall experience of college students. (serve on various institutional committees) • Colleges and universities have many of the same problems found in the larger society, such as violence, crime, alcohol, drug and sexual abuse.School policies try to govern these problems and reduce their negative effect. • The cost of attending colleges and universities has steadily increased since the 1980s. At that time, some states began to reduce the percentage of their budget devoted to higher education because they had to meet rising costs for medicare,transportation, prisons, and other public services. • More than 10 percent of full-time college students work full-time to pay for their college education. Others mostly work part-time to help offset the costs of attending college. • Residence halls usually have their own student-governing organizations that set rules and procedures for the facilities. • Some colleges and universities allow students to live in fraternity or sorority houses off or near the campus. • Business and government leaders count on colleges and universities to provide occupational and public life. • Provide students with a broad-based liberal arts foundation of learning that may have no direct vocational application. • Chinese government will give financial support to students who cannot afford the rural boarding schools. • Long-distance learning should be developed to proved a possible solution to the lack of educational resources in rural areas. • The current situation is that they very few children make it beyond high school, while those who quit find it extremely difficult to find jobs. Frustrated and disillusioned, some experience downward spirals, even into crime. Local governments should provide opportunities for these young people to receive vocational education, as well as guidance for those entering the labor market. • The country needs a national committee to ensure the rights and interests of children, particularly the millions of rural children who have been to left behind by parents working in cities. • The best-laid plans of coaches do not always bring harmony on teams. However, scholarships can be at the heart of the unrest.

It is of utmost importance for a teacher that he should have the leadership skills and find the best style of teaching for the students he is teaching. • The internet base or hybrid(traditional and internet mixed course) started to flow into the mainstream education. • The decade of the 1980s saw an explosion in computer technology and computer usage that deeply changed society. • One of the major goals of the American school system is to provide all children with equal educational opportunities. (minority students) • We convince ourselves that we are preparing to go out into the world where we will succeed by our own motivations, limited by nothing except for our own free will. • Society, through education, aims to control our children by limiting their independence and teaching them to conform to society. • Violence is in the television, and the children who view it are often pulled into the realistic world of violence scenes, sometimes with devastating results. • The study-abroad experience seems to enhance their academic capabilities, and also send a positive and encouraging message to students with their instructors being role-models. • The world is indeed one global village. We live among determined, well-educated, and strongly motivated competitors. Americans compete with them for international standing markets, not only with products but also with the ideas of America’s laboratories and neighborhood workshops. • (Active learning) By the lesson centered on the students, they feeltheir role in the activity is important. • Today, our children are faced with the growing threat of violence and crime in their classrooms. • School violence has become a matter of increasing concern in recent years. • An effective teacher has the power to shape and mold the lives of young children. They have knowledge of their subject. They are very organized and clear with their students, and they show great warmth and enthusiasm. • Achievement tests can be used to help a teacher assess a student’s strengths and weaknesses in a particular subject. These tests are used to tell how well school programs are doing or to give a picture of the skills and abilities of students. • Writing as it exists in this world can be interpreted in an infinite amount of ways. Some believe it to be communication, some self-expression. Some believe that it is a tool to explain oneself; others think it complicates things. • Private Schools 1. Students that graduate from private schools tend to be better prepared for college. 2. Private schools allow the parents and the student to decide which school they feelwill give the student the best education possible. • Public schools offer diversity. Here students can find people who are just like them and can associate better.
