Yehoshua told meraglim to go into Ai and see how the people there would
behave if Bnei Yisrael conquer it.
Yehoshua only told 3000 soldiers to go into Ai because he
thought Ai was weak.

message.

Achan stole something precious and some valuable metals like gold
and silver.
Because Achan did not obey Hashem , he was killed.
Yehoshua was thinking then thought of a plan. He told thirty thousand men to
wait behind the walls of Ai. Meanwhile he and a smaller army would attack.

Ai started to attack the Jews.

The Jews pretended to escape and the king of Ai ran after them that meant no
one was protecting the city.
Yehoshua lifted his javelin to show a sign to the Jews that were waiting to into
Ai and set it on fire.
