2. Kickboxing not only refers only to a group of martial arts and combat sports based on standing kicks and
punches as it is also a style of martial art and combat sport .
The kickboxing is often practiced as self-defense, general fitness , or as a contact sport .
Broadly , there are several martial arts named as kickboxing , including adithada ( Indian boxing ) , lethwei (
Burmese Boxing ) , as well as Savate ( French boxing ) . In a narrow sense , the term is associated with
kickboxing Japanese , the American kickboxing rules and styles or spin -off .
The kickboxing in the narrow sense is often confused with the muay thai ( Thai boxing ) . Both are similar but
with different extreme , not only rules , but in practice. However , the focus of the fighter during the fight is
