2. Worldview
A Worldview is a set of internal feelings and beliefs we
hold as our own personal truth or reality. It is from this set
of internal beliefs that we live our lives according to our
personal moral compass.
3. According to a recent nationwide survey by the Barna
Research Group determined that only 9 percent of
Americans had a "biblical" worldview.
"Although most people own a Bible and know some
of its content, our research found that most
Americans have little idea how to integrate core
biblical principles to form a unified and meaningful
response to the challenges and opportunities of
life."
4. Questions used by the Barna group in the
survey
Do absolute moral truths exist?
Is absolute truth defined by the Bible?
Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life?
Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and
does He still rule it today?
Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned?
Is Satan real?
Does a Christian have a responsibility to share his or her faith in
Christ with other people?
Is the Bible accurate in all of its teachings?
5. ASK YOURSELF…
• CAN YOU SAY YES TO ALL OF THOSE QUESTIONS ?
• DO YOU SEEK THE BIBLE FIRST AS THE FIRST AND FOREMOST
SOURCE OF INFORMATION ?
• CAN YOU EASILY IDENTIFY THINGS OF THE WORLD THAT ARE
NOT INLINE WITH YOUR CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW? ie., Movies,
Music, Books, Politics
COL 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow
and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition
and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on
Christ. (NIV)
7. Life consistent with our Biblical
Worldview
ROMANS 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will.
ROMANS 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to
everyone who believes
ROMANS 6:11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
EPHESIANS 5:1-17 Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love,
just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among
you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because
these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking,
which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy
person—such a person is an idolater —has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one
deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.
Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and
find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather
expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by
the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: "Wake
up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Be very careful, then, how you live —not as
unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be
foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.

12. ALL TRUTH IS GODS TRUTH
Christianity is in agreement with all the truths that come out from false philosophies. If you would just look at the
Bible, you‟d have an answer for all your philosophical problems.
A. Nihilism - “They hated me for naught.” (John 15:25)
B. Solipsism - “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” (Psalm 111:10)
C. Materialism - “All things done under the sun; all of them are meaningless.” (Ecc. 1:14)
D. Naturalism - “Jesus said, „My kingdom is not of this world.‟” (John 18:36)
E. Absurdism - “The Holy Spirit will teach you all things” (John 14:26)
F. Skepticism - “Let your „Yes‟ be „Yes,‟ and your „No,‟ „No‟” (Matthew 5:37)
G. Spiritualism - “To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?” (Isaiah 46:5)
H. Pantheism - “[The mature have] trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:14)
I. Deism - “God‟s invisible qualities have been clearly known from what has been made” (Romans 1:20)
J. Pluralism - “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)
K. Egotheism - “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9)
L. Monotheism - “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.” (John 3:16)
