  2. 2. INTRO: First institutions: Marriage and the Sabbath (Genesis 1:27-28; Genesis 2:18, 21-24) When God create man, it was directly with family in mind (Mark 10:6-12)

  4. 4. Relationship between God’s Law and the Marriage. Exodus 20:2-11 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, … Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain… Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. … Honour thy father and thy mother… Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Marriage is the beginning of a journey, not the final phase/destination Some people believe when they reach there, there is no need of any further attention. They did so much to come to that point, therefore, there is no more development needed. Make your courtship last throughout your marriage.

For a man to effectively understand God’s institutions and its varying roles and titles that will bear upon him as an individual, he must first embrace salvation.
