Create a social media policy — a code of conduct for employees who post
content online either on behalf of the company or their personal brand.
Identify the group in your organization responsible for finding and addressing
fraudulent social media accounts associated with your brand.
Consider automating the fraud detection process with tools that can scan for
new accounts created with elements of your brand.
Report all fraudulent accounts to social network platforms and request their
removal.
Develop a crisis response plan that describes how to respond to issues with
scams, malware, and other types of fraudulent accounts.
Be transparent in communicating your social media support hours.
