3. USE OF ADJECTIVES TO
DESCRIBRE NOUNS
My name isYeimy Alexandra López. I am an
English teacher. Today, we will learn to use
adjectives when describing nouns.
Adjectives are words which tell us something
about nouns, that is about a person, an
animal, a thing or a place. They usually come
before the nouns they describe.
4.
5. EXAMPLES:
The girl is beautiful
That snake is ugly
Mike is tall
Jhon is short
Itis a big red chair
The bag is small and old
It is a French table
Peter is thin and strong
6. An adjective describes how something 'is'. For
this reason, we usually use the verb 'to be'
when using adjectives.
Example:
Maryis an intelligent woman.
The students are very talkative.
I am not too strong.
7. Adjectives
don't have a singular and plural
form OR a masculine, femine and neuter form:
EXAMPLE: They are very intelligent students.
Karen is tall and thin.
Adjectives are always the same! Never add a
final -s to an adjective.
EXAMPLE: A big white cat.
It is a big new house.
