Do you think audit evidence has to be all of these things (appropriate.docx

Do you think audit evidence has to be all of these things (appropriate, sufficient, relevant, and reliable) to be used? Why or why not?
Are any two of these adjectives (sufficient, relevant, reliable, and appropriate) ever mutually exclusive? Why or why not?
What should an auditor do if she is unable to find evidence that is sufficient, appropriate, relevant, and reliable? Why?
Solution
1.Yes it has to be all of things. appropriate, sufficient, relevant, and reliable. Because if it is not appropriate you cant use it, If there is no sufficient evidance you cant call it an evidance, If it not relevant or reliable it would hurt the integrity of the audit.
2. They are not mutually exclusive ever because they have to function together to establish audit. Independently they would be useless
3. The auditor if unable to find enough evidance that has all qualities would have to conclude with what has been found. Auditor can get more information or conclude the audit with existing information. Further they can highlight the lapses to conclude the audit
