Aviationizing Pakistan - Bridging the gap between the Aviation Industry and the Academia, through an extensive awareness opportunity for the youth as well as general populace. Indeed, the Human Resource demand far exceeds the current supply of trained, educated and groomed professionals. This Expo being held at PAF Museum on September 25, 2016 is a step in that direction. Aviationizing is a comprehensive process of bringing about a holistic cultural change
through Aviation Awareness, Education and HR Development to achieve socio-
economic growth & prosperity for the nation.
Why Aviationize Pakistan?
Strategically located, Pakistan is witnessing a visibly evident robust growth in the
regional aviation industry. Amidst South Asian and Middle Eastern countries, Pakistan
is ideally placed to leverage its Human Resource in the burgeoning field of aviation.
The question is: Are we ready? And the answer is a resounding ‘no’. Can we train,
educate and get to the standards, level of professionalism and expertise demanded by
the industry? The answer is a reluctant ‘yes’ and the caveat is: only and only if we are
serious and the efforts are supported and endorsed by the top echelons in the aviation
industry and leadership hierarchy of the country.
If Pakistan and its entire aviation domain was a dominating participant in the global
aviation industry some decades ago why can’t Pakistan regain its status it was once
proud of. It is a well-known fact that PIA and PAF trained and helped several countries
in operationally establishing reckonable aviation entities.
Here is a synopsis of the Aviation Awareness Expo ... Aviationizing Pakistan.
It is conclusively established and universally accepted that the growth in aviation has
an increasingly positive correlation with regional, national and global economies. If
commercial aviation in a country is enhanced its GDP (Gross Domestic Product), an
important indicator of a nation’s economy, also registers a positive increase. Interestingly,
in a subtle but substantial manner, aviation also brings about socio-political integration
between the networked city pairs.

Aviation Awareness Expo
In an effort to Aviationize Pakistan, we need to ensure dissemination of relevant
information regarding ‘Aviation & Aerospace’. Awareness and opportunities for
employment in the aviation domain are important aspects for career seekers. Career
tracks’ information must be made readily available at appropriate forums. Similarly,
information regarding educational opportunities to acquire relevant knowledge and
skill-sets is essential for prospective candidates.
If education is provided and awareness is lacking the real potential will not be realized,
and if only awareness is provided and education institutions are not provided the
awareness exercise may be an effort in futility.

While efforts are underway for establishing Aviation & Aerospace specific educational
institutions, hopefully nationwide in due course of time, a series of awareness programs
in the form of road-shows, seminars, symposiums, radio and TV shows, etc. shall be
planned and executed in a well-coordinated fashion. Aviation Awareness Expo is the
first of the aviation awareness program being planned and executed, Insha’Allah.
The objective of the Aviation Awareness Expo is to make prospective candidates
aware of the career tracks that the aviation industry has to offer (domestically and
internationally).

Lecture (presentation) series are also planned throughout the day in the adjacent
