Overview of the client.
Who are they, when did they start, why did they start, what do they do, how are
they funded?
Show racism the red card is a company that is trying to help stop racism in
football and its increasing awareness to stop any racism. Show Racism The Red
Card was established in January 1996 and it was founded by Ged Grebby. Charity
is trying to educate young people and adults in their schools, workplaces and at
events held in football stadiums. Across the UK the charity delivers training to
more than 50,000 individual's per year. They also have a DVD of Thierry Henry,
Samuel Eto’o and Ryan Giggs to address a range of issues surrounding racism.
The issues:
Your client might advocate on a number of different yet related issues.
What issues your client campaign on?
The campaign is set out to eliminate any form of racism during on the pitch and off the pitch at football.
There main aim is to educate young people and adults going into their schools and workplaces to address
the issues of racism.
What are some of the impacts they have managed to achieve?
Across Britain, show Racism the Red Card delivers training to more then 50,000 individuals per year.
The monthly round up in may 2018 they did a series of informative, creative workshops and events during
may 2018
46 workshops
92 hours of workshop activity's, excluding assemblies and fun fitness sessions
1420 young people participated
11 Primary schools
2 secondary schools
1 college all in one month.
Show racism the red card also partnered with Nomadesc In Colombia, supporting their efforts for social
justice. The people of the north east donated 700 shirts by the fans of Newcastle and Sunderland.
What are they still hoping to achieve?
They are still fighting to educate children and adults the issues with racism and that’s there main aim.
They are continuing to do loads of workshops and activity's to educate the public.
