Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have
been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting ? The first section of the cutscene,
sounds like the scene is set in
somewhat of an aircraft as you
can hear a propeller as well as
other aircraft going past.
? After that there seems to be a
jump cut to a garden or a park I
think this because I can hear
laughter of kids and I can also
hear barking of a dog or dogs and
also I can hear the sizzling of a
barbecue
? In the last section of the cutscene
the sudden laughter of children
changes and goes into again a roar
of an engine of an aircraft.
? I believe that to create the aircraft
propellor sounds for the aircraft, the
person recording it would of used both
ambient directional sound recorders to get
a feel for the environmental sounds around
the propeller and with the directional
recorder that would of given a more
focused audio on the propeller.
? To create the sounds of the children
laughing, the dog barking and the sizzling
of the barbecue, I believe that the laughing
from the children and the barking from the
dog would have been produced in a
isolated area as there is a little echo on
their voices however for the barbecue I
think it was produced by using a
directional sound as there is no echo on
the sound and no background sounds.
Mood ? The mood in the beginning section
starts of by giving the sense of
being tired, in a dream or a sense
of a bleak personality
? I believe the music in the background has
been made electronically via the use of a
sound engineering software however the
sound could also be created by the use of a

? However with the background
music makes the mood seem a lot
more calmer than the begging
scene then in the end of the scene
goes back into being bleak.
live orchestra the instrument0s that could
have been used could be a violin or a
piano.
Game genre • From the start the viewer can instantly tell
that it is a war game as the sounds from
the aircraft however when the laughter
from the children comes it makes the
viewer wonder if it is actually a war game
or an adventure game.
• The propellers will have been recorded
through the use of a directional and
ambient microphones
• the children would have been recorded in
a isolated place to give it more echo on
their voices.
Narrative • From the beginning the viewer can hear a
person speaking sounding like they are in
a trance, but the protagonist starts to talk
about his dream he is having about himself
in a garden
• I believe that this was created in a sound
proof room where no background noise
can be picked up.
