there (first conference, where people are from, etc.)
Did a rough count and came up with 14 different
countries represented.
That is amazing!!!! Worth celebrating.”

“As a first timer I was not welcomed or greeted.
Group seems very cliquey and exclusive.”

35. “I found the overall group a little exclusive. No-one
really welcomed me, or said hello, or made eye
contact. It was so weird. I felt like I’d snuck into
some kind of cult meeting. Everyone else seemed
to know each other...I really expected people to
be warm and welcoming...it was rather off putting
and quite a surprise. Please make newcomers
feel comfortable and welcome.”

“I felt like I found my tribe. Out wandering in the wilderness
on my own creating my own stuff (which has been fun, but
lonely) and it was a total joy to find other people who do
something similar to what I do.”
