1. Post Engineering Induction Training:
Gained practical knowledge by seeing manufacturing process & maintenance control system at
Graphite India Limited (Durgapur). Process of manufacturing involving production planning to
shipment of stock to customer. Maintenance control like Preventive, predictive & breakdown
maintenance, maintenance planning, capacity planning & spare planning. Planned a day visit at M/s
Haldia Iron & Steel (Durgapur), collected firsthand knowledge about Direct Reduced Iron ore ‘DRI’
production and 8MV captive power plant having Waste Heat Recovery Boiler ‘WHRB’.
Technically coordinated a Solar Tempered Mirror plant for a month, which is equipped with highly
technical robotic and PLC controlled conveyors from Gudel Switzerland, Glasstech tempering and
bending furnace from U.S.A, mechanical correctness measuring sophisticated deflectometery systems
from ISRA Germany, mirror coating line from Kloepper Germany and quality systems for measuring the
optical and environmental properties for long term utility of the finished products for long term solar
application Concentrated Solar Power ‘CSP’ and Concentrated Solar Thermal ‘CST’ projects.
2. Project Title: ‘Design and Development of low cost automated wheelchair’
Duration: 4 months
2. Role/Responsibility: Leading a team of 4 which coordinated with me in each and every aspect.
Description: The project was selected and recognizes under “EPICS” (Engineering Projects In Community
Services) and was designed for utility segment for the paraplegics who can’t afford costly wheelchairs. It
can be further used to transfer the load by detaching it from the wheelchair and using individually.
3. Project Title: ‘Under Truck of a locomotive’
Duration: 2 weeks
Role/Responsibility: Leading a team of 5 members.
Description: The study was carried out of different base frame of diesel locomotives which provides
insights to the load distribution and placing of machineries used in working of an engine.
