There are 1159 deposits and 30 types of various minerals, dozens of peat deposits, as well as unique deposits of granite, kaolin, garnet and fluorite. Vinnytsia region has large deposits of primary kaolin. It is 44% of the total kaolin depositsin Ukraine. Hluhivetskiy GOK produces nearly a third part of kaolin in the state. There is the only deposit of garnet in Europe in the region.
