MICAH is a power organization that addresses social justice issues in Memphis. MICAH is interfaith
and multi-racial and engages stakeholders in the political and economic decisions affecting their lives.
MICAH acts as a unified voice for the faith and justice community to act on its values in the public
arena. MICAH is a coalition of congregations and community organizations whose interest is justice for
all people.
Primary Responsibility: Building a faith-based power organization to address local issues of
Economic Equity, Education Reform, and Immigration and Intercultural Equity, and other
issues as determined by MICAH membership.
Duties:
● Lead strategic growth—membership and funding
● Structure and design issue campaigns in collaboration with the board and
membership
● Represent MICAH at public events
● Monitor and evaluate organizing efforts for effectiveness and efficiency and make
recommendations
● Manage volunteers
● Implement the strategic, developmental, marketing, and social media plans
● Facilitate conditions for effective meetings
● Maintain an accurate database that aligns with current technology
● General fiscal responsibilities

Qualifications and Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field of study
● Understanding and analysis of the systemic nature of oppression
● Previous community organizing experience is greatly valued
● Comfort working in underserved communities of color
Salary - $45,000-$55,000 based on experience, plus benefits.
