  1. 2. Who am I and why am I qualified to speak to you? Like most of us, I fell into a career early in my life where I was successful, but not necessarily fulfilled; so after 20 years as an executive admin in New York (and a career that hit just below 6 figures), I literally made a plan, walked away began to live my dream – to be a writer. I’d been a very part-time writer my whole life, and bringing that part of myself to my CAREER was my dream. After all, at 40, 50 or 60 plus hours a week, well… need I say more? So a small businesses was born. I had to write – my life was passing, but I also had to make a living . So I started with two clients and wrote website copy and began blogging for them. What I realized VERY quickly was that just having a blog was a big waste of that material. USING the blog to reach a client’s BEST marketshare, to build an audience, and to get some online PR, well, that turned out to be the magic. 50 clients later, yes, I’m qualified to help you all with a couple of ideas you might not know.
  2. 3. Lesson #1 You are not an author. You are a BUSINESS. If you don’t think like the CEO and the Chief Marketing Officer, you won’t sell books.

Know that It does take a little time to build a following for your live broadcasts, but the fact that you can build a library of your calls online is great, and remember that your shows can be easily heard and downloaded later on.
