3. Danube Bridge
 River Bridge, also called Friendship
Bridge is a steel construction bridge
over the Danube between Rousse
and Giurgiu. Its length is 2.80 km
llength and passes at a height of
30 meters above the water. It is
built on two levels - for trains and
cars.
 The middle part can be
raised when large ships sail. So
far this is the only bridge over the
Danube along the border between
Bulgaria and Romania at a
distance of 500 km.

4. Vidin-Calafat bridge
 The Vidin-Calafat is a planned for
construction road and railway
bridge over the Danube, which should
connect the towns of Vidin, Bulgaria
and Romania in the pouch.
 The bridge will have a length of 1971
meters and include two lanes in each
direction.

5. Asparuhov Bridge
 Asparuhov Bridge is a bridge in
northeastern Bulgaria.
 Located in the city of Varna it connects
Asparuhovo and Galata districts with the
city center, representing the only link in
the navigation as channelconnecting
the lake with the Black Sea.

6. Bebresh (Viaduct)
 Bebresh viaduct is a bridge in western
Bulgaria.
It is at about 1000 m altitude in the
Balkan Mountains and was completed
in 1985. Its construction includes a
simple prestressed beams with a length
of 60 meters.
 They are located over
2 holes at equal length of the bridge 720
meters.
 The choice of relatively small holes in the
beams enforces a large number of
unusually high pillars - the tallest of
them reaches 120 meters.

7. Belenski Bridge
 Belene is an arch bridge, located over the Yantra River at
1 km from the town of Byala whose name the bridge is
called.
 It was built by Kolyo Ficheto and is considered as the his
best achievement.
 Construction works on it began in 1865 and were
accomplished in 1867. It is 276 meters long and 9
m wide. The bridge is made ​from local
carved limestone and lime mortar.
 After flooding in 1897 eight arches in the middle of the
bridge were destroyed. In 1922-23, the bridge was
reconstructed with reinforced concrete pillars and arches
but the original construction is not changed.

8. Devil's Bridge (Ardino)
 Devil's Bridge is a medieval bridge over
the Arda River.
 The bridge was built in the
early 16th century. The bridge is located at 420
meters altitude, surrounded on both sides by
steep slopes of up to 800 meters altitude. Its
length is 56 meters, width - 3.5 m . The height
of the central arch is from 11.50 to 12 meters
and the edge is preserved by stone parapet
which height is 12 cm.

9. Iron Bridge (Kyustendil)
 Iron bridge is a bridge over the
River Banshtitsa running through the district of
Kyustendil.
The bridge was built in 1909 and it connects the
railway station to the central town square.
In 1969 the bridge was rebuilt and extended with a
reinforced concrete structure.
 The four ends are decorated by sculptural female
figures made of white Vratza stone.

10. Kadin Bridge
 The Kadin most is a 15th-
century stone arch bridge over
the Struma River at
Nevestino, Kyustendil
Province, in southwestern
Bulgaria.
 It was constructed in 1470 on
the order of Isak Pasha during
the reign of Ottoman sultan
Mahmud I, as evidenced by the
Ottoman Turkish stone
inscription on one of the sides.
 The bridge has three arches, its
longest span is 20 m.

11. Korenishki dol
 Korenishki dol Glen
is Korenishki viaduct bridge
in western Bulgaria. It is
at about 1000 m altitude in
the Balkan Mountains. Its
construction includes simple
prestressed beams with a
length of 60 meters.
 They are located above
the hole in 8
equal length parts of the
bridge which is 480 meters.

12. Bridge Rowing base
"Plovdiv"
 Bridge Rowing base "Plovdiv" is a
pedestrian bridge, completed in 1989
and located above the
rowing channel "Plovdiv".
 Bridge is one of the largest facilities in
the world of this type. The main
supporting structure is from
presful tension concrete slab with
thickness of 32 cm.

13. Mustafa Pasha Bridge
 The Old Bridge or Mustafa Pasha Bridge is a
16th-century arch bridge over the Maritsa in
Svilengrad, southern Bulgaria.
 Completed in 1529, it was built on the order of
the Ottoman vizier Çoban Mustafa Pasha. The
bridge was the first major work designed by the
Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan.
 The bridge is 295 m long, 6 m wide and has 20
or 21 arches.

14. Covered Bridge in Lovech
 Covered Bridge in Lovech is covered
bridge over the River Osum in Lovech.
 The bridge connects the newpart of town
with architectural and historical
reserve and quarter "Varosha".
 It is the only of its kind on the
Balkan Peninsula. In Europe there
are only three such bridges - in
Lucerne, Florence and Erfurt.
 Covered Bridge is the official symbol of Lovech.

15. Some interesting facts:
 It was completely destroyed by a flood in 1872 and the local
police chief ordered the famous Bulgarian master builder
Kolyu Ficheto to construct a new one. Ficheto personally
chose the material for the wooden bridge. Each citizen of
Lovech contributed to the building process, the poorer ones
working themselves and the wealthier donating money and
paying other workers. Building finished in 1874.
 The initial bridge had a length of 84 m and 6 vents and
accommodated 64 shops. It was, however, wholly destroyed
by fire on the night of 2 to 3 August 1925. A more modern
bridge was constructed at its place in 1931 only to be
replaced by a reconstruction of Kolyu Ficheto's design in
1981-1982. The current bridge is 106 m long and has 14
shops, the architect being Zlatev.
