X was in charge of the Iranian consular office in Paris in 1941. There was a
sizeable community of Iranian Jews in Paris when Adolf Hitler invaded and
occupied the city. Leaning on the national socialist perception that Germans
were Aryans, Nazi Germany and Iran had an agreement which protected all
Iranian citizens against German acts of aggression, X was able to protect
Iranian Jews, whose families had been present in Iran since the time of the
Persian Empire. He very strongly argued this point to the Germans and
specifically ascertained that the Iranian Jews were protected under these
statutes. The Nazis grudgingly agreed and accordingly, many Persian Jews
were saved from harassment and eventually deportation by the Nazi regime.
But X went further. Once he realised the full nature of Nazi ambitions, he
began issuing hundreds of Iranian passports for non-Iranian Jews to save
them from persecution. To safeguard his plan, he did not ask for permission,
and felt that support by the Iranian leadership was implied. His actions were
later confirmed and applauded by the government of Iran. Thus X is often
known as ‘IRANIAN SCHINDLER’.
25. Q.12
X is a 2001 low-budget black and white indie film drama directed by R. D. Robb, starring Leonardo Di
Caprio, Tobey Maguire and Kevin Connolly. The drama was filmed in 1995–1996, and written by Robb
with Bethany Ashton, Tawd Beckman, David Stutman and Dale Wheatley. The film takes place over the
course of one night in which a group of young adults discuss life while eating at a diner.
Despite being paid $575 per day to appear in the film, DiCaprio and Maguire later tried to stop the movie
from being released. As of January 2016, the film is still blocked from appearing in the USA and Canada.
On April 1, 1998 Producer David Stutman filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, against
Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire for Declaratory Relief, Interference with Prospective Economic
Advantage, Breach of Contract, Slander of Title, and Injunctive Relief. It was later agreed between
DiCaprio, Maguire, Stutman, Wheatley and Jerry Meadors that the film would be released outside the US
and Canada only. It premiered on February 10, 2001, in Berlin. Time Out New York writer Mike D'Angelo
called it, "the best film [I saw] in Berlin". Variety Magazine called it an "unpleasant and tedious ensemble."
In September 2014, Dale Wheatley published an open letter to DiCaprio on the website freeX.com, giving
his take on the history of the film and the ensuing legal issues. Wheatley also uploaded the film to the
website so that it could be streamed for free. It was removed Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 15:55 as a
result of a third-party notification by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire claiming infringement.
Wheatley made the following statement to Fox News “It saddens me deeply that in 2016 we witness the
senseless oppression of film and art by one of America's most beloved actors," Wheatley told FOX411.
"While the world celebrates — and certainly Americans celebrate — his great achievements in cinema,
he chooses to use an iron fist to suppress the work of many other artists including him in a film made 20
years ago." Give X

36. Q.1
In the philosophy of thermal and statistical physics, X is a
thought experiment created by the physicist James Clerk
Maxwell in which he suggested how the Second Law of
Thermodynamics could hypothetically be violated. In the
thought experiment, X controls a small door between two
chambers of gas. As individual gas molecules approach the
door, the demon quickly opens and shuts the door so that
fast molecules pass into the other chamber, while slow
molecules remain in the first chamber. Because faster
molecules are hotter, the demon's behaviour causes one
chamber to warm up as the other cools, thus decreasing
entropy and violating the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
38. Q.2
The X, was a wooden chest clad with gold containing the two stone tablets
of the Ten Commandments as well as, according to various texts within the
Hebrew Bible, Aaron's rod and a pot of manna.
The biblical account relates that, approximately one year after the Israelites'
exodus from Egypt, the X was created according to the pattern given to
Moses by God when the Israelites were encamped at the foot of biblical
Mount Sinai. Thereafter, the gold-plated acacia chest was carried by its
staves while en route by the Levites approximately 2,000 cubits in advance
of the people when on the march or before the Israelite army, the host of
fighting men. When the X was borne by Levites into the bed of the Jordan
River, the waters parted as God had parted the waters of the Red Sea,
opening a pathway for the entire host to pass. The walls of the city of Jericho
were shaken to the ground with no more than a shout from the army after the
X was paraded around them for seven days by Levites accompanied by
seven priests sounding seven trumpets of rams horns. Id X.

X is the popular name given to each of four versions of a composition,
created as both paintings and pastels, by the Expressionist artist Edvard
Munch between 1893 and 1910. The works show a figure with an agonised
expression against a landscape with a tumultuous orange sky. Arthur
Lubow has described X as "an icon of modern art, a Mona Lisa for our
time”.
On 12 February 1994, the same day as the opening of the 1994 Winter
Olympics in Lillehammer, two men broke into the National Gallery, Oslo, and
stole its version of The Scream, leaving a note reading "Thanks for the poor
security". The painting had been moved down to a second-story gallery as
part of the Olympic festivities. X was recovered a few days later though.
10 years later, the 1910 tempera on board version of X was stolen on 22
August 2004, during daylight hours, when masked gunmen entered the
Munch Museum in Oslo and stole it and Munch's Madonna too.
43. Q.4
X are rarely-encountered neologisms for the concept of nominative determinism,
used for a personal name aptly or peculiarly suited to its owner; essentially, when
someone's name describes what they are or what they do.In the book What's in a
Name? (1996), author Paul Dickson cites a long list of X originally compiled by
Professor Lewis P. Lipsitt, of Brown University. Psychologist Carl Jung wrote in his
book Synchronicity that there was a "sometimes quite grotesque coincidence
between a man's name and his peculiarities". Some examples of X are

47. Q.6
X is a building in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh which served as a palace for the rulers of
Awadh and their wives.
It was constructed by order of Nawab Ghazi Uddin Haider and completed after his
death by his successor, Nawab Nasir Uddin Haider.
The X stands on the banks of the River Gomti. The X consisted of a Bari (larger) X
and Chhoti (smaller) X, however only the larger one still exists. These two buildings
were examples of the Indo-European-Nawabi architectural style, even though the
Bari X has been altered over the years. The palaces were named after the umbrella-
shaped domes on the octagonal pavilions, which crown the buildings. The imposing
building has large underground rooms and a dome surmounted by a gilt umbrella.
A portion of it was destroyed by Britishers during the war of 1857. After the war of
1857 the government had allotted the building to an American NGO which used it as
a club for recreation purposes, till 1947, the X was used as the United Services Club.
Post Independence, this building was allotted to the Council of Scientific and
Industrial Research which used it as Central Drug Research Institute since 1950, but
now it has been vacated by CDRI.

Though a number of backstories have been given, a definitive one has
not yet been established for X. An unreliable narrator, the character is
uncertain of who he was before and how he became X: "Sometimes I
remember it one way, sometimes another ... if I'm going to have a past,
I prefer it to be multiple choice!" . X quits his job, becoming a stand-
up comedian to support his pregnant wife. Unsuccessful, he agrees to
help mobsters with a robbery and dons the Red Hood. The heist goes
awry; the comedian leaps into a chemical vat to escape Y , surfacing
disfigured. This, combined with the earlier accidental death of his wife
and unborn child, drives the comedian insane and he becomes X .
X has claimed a number of origins, including being the child of an
abusive father who broke his nose and the long-lived jester of an
Egyptian pharaoh. As Y says, "Like any other comedian, he uses
whatever material will work". Give X and Y.

X is an American web television series that first streamed on Netflix on December 18,

Demos, explores the story of Y, a Manitowoc County, Wisconsin man, who served 18
years in prison for the sexual assault and attempted murder of Penny Beerntsen,
