A trip up Table Mountain in Cape Town offers breathtaking views, and a cruise to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, is a must-see. Kruger National Park, about the size of Wales, attracts many visitors hoping to spot the big five animals and is one of South Africa's best national parks. The springbok is South Africa's national animal and also the mascot of their national rugby team, while the king protea is the national flower.
