Essay About My Personality
1. Personality Test Analysis Essay
a. According self tests using the Five Factor Model, my personality has low extraversion and
emotional stability, a high degree of openness, and moderate levels of agreeableness and
conscientiousness. Low extraversion is demonstrated in both professional and social envionments.
While working a corporate job as a financial analyst, taking the time and initiative to interact with
coworkers beyond the scope of the job was limited to a brief conversation once a day with the same
two people. In large social gatherings, interactions are limited to familiar people with whom I have
pre–existing friendships. If I attend a concert by myself, I will bring a book to read in between
musical acts to prevent people from speaking to me. Low emotional...show more content...
Agreeableness is average, meaning I do not try to be either cooperative or antagonistic towards
others. I generally take a laissez–faire approach to my relationships and do not have an invested
interest because I do not believe I can significantly impact the long–term well being of others. During
conversations, I do not inquire specifically about their personal lives, I let the other person tell me
what they are comfortable about talking about and what they want me to know.
Conscientiousness is also average. I have a fair balance of structure and spontaneity. There is just
enough control and regulation in impulses to maintain a harmonized flow of daily life that will
allow for spontaneous activities. For example, school work is more or less planned out by the day
to prevent falling behind, but I will still embark on spontaneous adventures of bicycle rides to
abandoned warehouse roof tops at midnight on a school night. Survey results are consistent with
how I view myself generally. While it is impossible to be completely objective in self evaluations, I
think I am fairly in tune with my inter– and intra–relationships because I make an effort to heed
feedback. When interacting with others I pay attention to their facial expressions, body language,
tone of voice, and not only their words, but their silences. b. Compared to PSU student averages,
extraversion falls mainly in the lower third or lower mid–range,

2. My Experience With My Personality
When describing myself to others, I would say that I am a caring, funny, and easy going person.
While this description fits my perception of myself, other people who do not know me may be
shocked considering the way I tend to act around new individuals. Because of my more passive
nature, I have a difficult time expressing myself towards anyone I don't feel comfortable around and
may come off as standoffish and stuck up when in fact I am just anxious and quiet in any new
situation. Once I start to open up to someone my more outgoing nature shines through and I behave
with much more confidence than I previously demonstrated. The general perception other people
tend to have of me is that I am shy, and although I do keep to myself around new...show more

For example, my mother was complaining about how no one ever cleans up their messes and
throughout the whole lecture I just kept nodding my head. Although the gesture was meant to
show her that I understood her problem, she saw it as a sign that I was being disrespectful and
ignoring what she had to say. She wanted my personal feedback to prove to her that I was
listening and would correct the problem. But by just nodding I did not convey the proper
response to her and therefore caused a bigger argument. The whole problem could have been
solved if I had just said yes to her, but because of my nonchalant answer deepened the conflict
instead of solving it. I would describe myself as having more of a passive approach when conveying
my personal communication behaviors. My communication style is more indirect and I have a
tendency to shut down if I feel the conversation is shifting in a way I don't feel comfortable
discussing. Even when I am thoroughly interested in something, I have a tough time bringing up that
topic for fear I would be misunderstood. I let this fear prevent myself from making meaningful
connections with other people who have similar interest. This fear also plays into why I am
uncomfortable expressing my emotions and feelings in front of others. During the summer, I

3. Research Paper On My Hobbies
With regards to my personal life, I have been particularly blessed to have experienced a joyful and
easy–going life. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and later moved to Ventura, a
city just south of Santa Barbara. As a result, its safe to assume that I've been and will always be a
California kid. The beach was walking distance away from my home and the weather was always
warm and sunny. My family also have been pivotal in instilling a happy demeanor by always
inculcating my psyche with positive attitudes coupled with kind and outgoing manners to people of
all colors, creeds, and nationalities.
Furthermore, I wouldn't that I have a wide array of hobbies, however I more so have a set of
hobbies which I focus on at an extremely high level with a large degree of proficiency. To further
explain, two hobbies that I particularly enjoy are creating and playing music, as well as writing.
With regards to music, I have been playing guitar for over a year now, and I can honestly say it
has had one of the most profound effects upon my life imaginable. Music offers the only outlet
that I can fathom which can allow to forget about the world around me. All the problems I am
having, all the issues of the world that can bog me down, are eliminated because once I pick up the
guitar, I'm essentially one with the instrument, all the focus of my human psyche is upon the music
being played and if it's particularly good, I'll maniacally write it down to preserve it. Which is an

this tendency, I don't think it accurately sums up my personality. I do relate mostly to the
explanation of how ENTJ make plans and are compelled to see these plans through though they only

5. Descriptive Essay About Personality
1.Descriptive Essay Nothing But Personality It was my first day at the school, I got into the
building where I was going to live. My eyes searched carefully from the door of one bedroom to
that of another for my name which ought to have been pasted on the door of one of these
bedrooms. At last I found it. On stepping into the bedroom I found there was already a student who
was making her bed, She was thin, short and black–skinned. Her hair looked like a bundle of straw.
Her dirty clothes and lusterless eyes clearly indicated that she had a long journey. Her clothes
were made of cheap cloth. Her coat was too short, and the legs of her trousers were too loose. She
wore a pair of unfashionable rubber shoes. And all her looks made me feel that she did not look like
a smart girl. "A yokel," I concluded. The second she spoke, her accent told me that she was from
the south. "May I help you get your luggage from the office?"
I did not decline her help because
I really needed it. She was quick in movement. She walked out of the room and was soon far
ahead of me in the corridor. "A nice girl," I said to myself. "I will make friends with her." I hurried
and caught up with her. Sometimes outlook does not mean anything about personality. 2.Original

Me Myself and Personality Traits When asked to describe myself I never know what to say, but I

I'm a hard worker; I believe nothing is ever handed to you so you have to go get it. I worked hard to
get to this point of my life and working even harder to get to the successful and graduate part of
my life. I care more for some others than I do myself but I have a huge nonchalant attitude. I don't

I was taught to be caring and thoughtful; I wasn't taught anything else from anyone other than not to
trust people. I'm the odd ball of my family because I am nothing like anyone. I can say I was also
taught to believe in myself and never down myself because I can accomplish anything. That is
shown through my determination and hard work because if I didn't believe in myself I wouldn't try
as hard. Last but not all, Humanistic approach sums up my personality a little more than
psychodynamic does because it involves nature vs. nurture and that kind of sums it up just saying
that. Environment and Heredity is kind of the main reasons of my attitudes and actions. In the
article, Time–Limited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Briggs conducts different forms of
psychotherapy techniques to prove whether things in an adolescent's life effect different adolescents
differently. His study was a success and proved that many adolescents have different interpretations
on the same issue. He read them off different problems and wanted to see how they would interpret
them. He used children in the age groups of 12–17 and it worked out. I think that the different
approaches can be brought together in some circumstances but in my case it doesn't. My personality
makes more sense coming from the humanistic approach. Briggs, Stephen (2010). Time–Limited

7. What Is My Personality Essay
Our personalities differ as much as our DNA. Each one with many different traits that make us
who we are. While my siblings did not make the brightest choices, I have become wiser in the
decisions I make to show who I truly am. My parents, also have helped me discover traits that
were in me all along. My personality consists of different traits that have helped me find my true
self. By nature, I am shy. The decisions that my siblings have made influenced my parents,
making them stricter than most. I was usually put down when I went to ask if I could stay at my
cousins' house or if I could go to my aunts for the day. Since then I always stay home and read a
book or an article about a weird subject. Shyness, just like any other personality trait, has its pluses
and minuses. The key is to harness what makes you more reserved and use it to your advantage. I
have grown since I have learned about my shyness being an issue in school and in the classroom. I
have put myself into more activities, even though I still feel the shyness in me. I have grown more
into communicating with others through my years of high school to prepare for when I go to
college. It is so to say that growing up with a family who kept me isolated from others wasn't
necessarily a bad thing. I used it as a challenge for me to grow my communication...show more

8. Essay on Personality Analysis
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to discuss characteristics of my personality. The main focus
of this paper will be how my personality has developed over time. As I age and encounter new and
different experiences, my personality has adapted and developed further. This paper will give an
in–depth exploration into the people and events that have influenced my personality. Personality is
defined as "a) the sum total of the physical, mental, emotional, and social characteristics of an
individual. b) the organized pattern of behavioral characteristics of the individual" (Dictionary.com,
2010). Whether we realize it or not, personality defines us as people. There are many facets to my

I had to step out of my comfort zone and do what needed to be done in order to reach my goals.
On the graduate level, I find that it is easier to be an introvert and participate. Once the human
element is taken away, I can find myself being open. I do not see my classmates face to face so I
can allow myself to say things that I ordinarily would not do or say. As I have gotten older, some
of the introversion has faded to a certain extent, but it is still present. Through my job as a Special
Education Teacher, I have had to overcome a majority of my introversion so I can effectively do
my job. On any given day, I will have to speak to not only my students but also the office staff,
coworkers, and possibly some of the children's parents. Conversation goes both ways, so to be
successful at my job; I would have to be willing to be open and communicate with others more. I
also have to realize that I need to make the first step sometimes. Not everyone is going to come to
me; there are times I am going to have to go to others. Another characteristic of my personality is
care. Despite my ever–present introversion, I have always harbored a deep care for most people.
Early in my childhood, my parents taught the importance of caring for others. Throughout my life, I
have always put others before myself. Sometimes I do this out of genuine care for the other party,
but other times, I find myself doing this so the other

My Personal Qualities
Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and
qualities. One person does not just simply fall into one category, but various categories. What is
beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned
that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours.
As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on

a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it
and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even
me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality.
A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because
I already knew I had these traits as a part of my personality. However, the results from mylearning

and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last
year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The
results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can
be learned and strengthened.
I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I
found out the little unique things that make up my personality. From my personality survey, I am

10. An Individual 's Personality Change Essay
Over the years, there has been a debate over whether or not personality can be changed. Growing
older, experiencing life, and seeking personality change are all factors that play a part in this change.
Throughout an individual's life, they are constantly strengthening and weakening certain traits,
whether they want to or not. In the contents of this paper, personality change is discussed, showing
that it is possible for an individual to change their personality. Can an Individual's Personality
Change? Sometimes it seems unfair that individual's are assigned certain personality traits without
the want of those traits. An individual might want to be an introvert wanting to be an extrovert, a
procrastinator wanting to be productive, or any other personality trait that they want to trade for
another. Is it possible to change an individual's personality or are they stuck with the same
personality their whole life? An individual's personality can change because of aging, major life
events, and simply the desire to change one's personality. Aging Most of the time, a person can
change their personality unintentionally through simply growing older. Through aging, some traits
will strengthen and some traits will weaken. For instance, when starting to work at a new job, an
individual will have to learn to develop new skills, which can change their personality. According to
the Big–Five theory, personality is described by openness, conscientiousness, extroversion,
agreeableness, and

11. My Most Dominant Traits Of My Personality
One thing that I find very intriguing is that every person has a unique personality made of
different basic traits: extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and
intellect. Some may have the same dominant traits as others but each individual has their own
very special personality. In the following essay I will be writing about my most dominant traits of
my personality which are agreeableness, conscientious and intellect. Over the last 10 years or so
I have grown to be more friendly and kind than I have ever been. I think this is because of my
level maturity I have reached and the experiences I have had within those years. In my mid teen
years I recall being a very moody and somewhat mean young woman. At the time I did not know
better but to act the way I did. I was part of a popular clique in school, so therefore I was
considered popular. Thinking about those days then, I come to the conclusion that I must have
thought that I was better than some of the other people in school because I was in that clique,
which was foolish of me. I was unkind to people I did not even know. Makes me sad to realize
how superficial I was then. Nevertheless, I have grown to be a very kind and friendly person to
everyone. People other than my friends and family have told me that I am very nice and friendly.
My intentions are always meant to be good. Frankly, life is too short to be unkind and also, you
never know what other people are going through. A simple and kind

12. Personality Profile : My Personality Essay
I have to admit that I was skeptical at completing the personality profile. I thought, "How could a few
questions determine everything about my management style". When I received my results, I was
astonished at how accurate these results portrayed my personality. While deciding which of my
personality traits were advantageous and which were detrimental to my management style, I became
conflicted as all of my scores can be portrayed as both positive and negative depending on the
situation.
I would classify my most advantageous trait to be scoring very low on the neuroticism scale. I have
the ability to remain calm in the most stressful situations. Most would believe the neuroticism
would be a negative trait. The word neuroticism, taken from the word neurotic has a negative
connotation. Neuroticism is defined as being characterized as full of anxiety, fear, moodiness,
worry, envy, frustration, loneliness and jealousy. I personally scored very low on this personality
trait. The low score would categorize me as very calm, secure, hardy, relaxed and stable. The
spectrum of these traits all lends to handling tense situations with a calm, collected even
temperament. Performing managerial duties on a daily basis requires one to be all of these traits
and more.

I'm an adult. Age has significantly contributed to how I view things, how I react to issues, and
how I interact with other people. Some of the factors that have contributed to changes in my
personality include entering into committed relationships and advancement in my careers. I have
developed increase in positive traits like conscientiousness and a decrease in traits that are
considered negative, such as neuroticism. Compared to the time I was a teenager, I have
significantly become more responsible, more agreeable, and more emotionally stable. I
remember I used to fight a lot when I was a teenager but as I grow into adulthood, I have learnt
how to handle issues and control myself as well. In essence, my personality has significantly
improved. When I was a teenager, I used to be irresponsible, unsociable, and shy. However, I have
since become friendly, responsible, and outgoing. This has made me live a happier life compared
to the life I was living before. Living a happy life has improved my personality in the sense that it
has made me become more conscientious, more emotionally stable, and more agreeable. My pattern
of feeling, thinking, and behaving has since become consistent over time and in different situations.
I have also improved on how I interact with people from different backgrounds and origins as well
as individuals with different personalities. I

14. Nature of Personality
The Nature of Personality
Personality is possibly the most important part of what makes us individuals. It 's said that no two
people look exactly alike; the same can be said about personality; no two personalities are exactly
alike. For hundreds of years theorists have tried to figure out the mind and how it works when it
comes to personality. They have devoted their lives to fitting our vast human personalities into
groups defined by certain characteristics we all have in common. (A2zpsychology.com 2002–2004
В¶3) Environment, instincts, and experiences in life all contribute to who we are and who we grow
to become. The nature of personality is really a unique system of defining how one expresses
themselves through emotions and...show more content...
Unfortunately trying to fit all personalities into these simple units is not as appealing as it may sound.
With every theorists attempt to define the boundaries of personality it seems it becomes more
difficult to understand where individuals unique and diverse behaviors fit in. Many schools of
thought have been developed over the years. Some theorists believe the way people process
information, such as memories and images in society, shape a person 's personality. Others, such as
Sigmund Freud, believe instincts and mental motivators play a major factor in a person 's
personality development. The behavior and social school of thought is also interesting, this school
of thought believes personality is completely learned through life experiences. Even with all the
major schools of thought, not one of them seems to define my own personality entirely to a tee;
instead my personality could be defied by a combination of these schools of thought. There are
basic factors which should be considered when it comes to the nature of our personalities. The
environment around us, our natural human instincts and the experiences we go through in life, all
play a part in the way our minds work and process information. Environmental factors such as were
we grew up; city verses county and warm climates verses cold climates; contribute to how we
perceive the world and people around us. Human instincts such as the need to obtain basic things to
survive, like water, food

A quote that I live by is, "People don't always behave the way you want them to, but it doesn't mean
the way they behave is wrong." This says to me that I cannot change anyone because I do not
understand or like the way someone does something. Trying to do this is trying to change one's
human personality. Human personality is what makes a person distinctive, unique, and exceptional.
Every person has a different personality and some personalities mesh better than others. Human
personality should always be praised and no one should ever put anyone down for having a
different personality. It is truly just allowing people to be who they are unless they are in violation
of other human's rights. Just as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Any...show more content...
Examples of laws like this would be: wearing a seat belt, the possession of guns, the right to
abortion, and the ability to buy alcohol on Sundays. These types of laws are there because
someone else says that it is wrong to do these things. Trying to prevent supposedly wrong things
from happening seems like good intent but is actually unjust. An example of this is seat belt laws
that try to prevent anyone from getting seriously hurt in the event of a car accident. But if the
driver or their passengers do not want to buckle up why should the law force them. It may seem
strange for some people to not want to wear their seat belt but it is just because they have a
different personality. The only just laws are the ones that punish those that actually degrade
someone's human personality. Rape, murder, robbery, and fraud are all examples of this. When
someone rapes another they are taking away their free will to do whatever they choose. And those
who commit that crime should be punished. But to create laws to prevent rapes from occurring is
unjust. These types of laws assume that people will do wrong and that their human personality is
wrong. People have the right to do whatever they please whether it is moral or not and they deserve
the consequences of their actions. In conclusion, human personality is the essential character of a
human being. It is not clear what uplifts and what degrades human personality because it is human

People are always trying to find themselves and I think that's where a lot of people make mistakes
because when they set out to do that they lose the essence of who they are in the first place.
Everything they believe in. A perfect example of that is when a child is raised to believe in
something a certain way, but as he grows older he forms his own opinions about that specific idea
and make his own decisions about it. His conclusion differs from that of their parents.
Personally, I am a perfect example of this because according to my parents, Gay people don't
deserve their rights and should not even be able to be openly gay. I view this concept differently
because in my opinion they are people too and just because they are somewhat different than us,
doesn't mean they should be punished. I was raised to be homophobic but as I grew up I met a

life, I was showered with love and attention. Since my mom couldn't get pregnant for 8 years I was a

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'

adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
