eTwinning has achieved success in establishing a distinctive identity among teachers, increasing participation levels, and providing opportunities for teacher development and recognition of excellent projects. Current challenges include encouraging more active pupil involvement, variety in projects, and sharing of best practices. The future of eTwinning will focus on building the largest online learning community in Europe through a new platform, communities of practice, and synergies with other initiatives to support teachers collaborating and sharing ideas across borders.
