2. What?
• We are currently searching for a planet that
humans could inhabit in the distant future
and are using satellites to do this.
3. Where?
• The planet would have to be in a good
distance from a sun so it was able to be the
right temperature. This area is called the
goldilocks zone.
• It would have to have a rich atmosphere of
oxygen, carbon and nitrogen.
• It would also have to have water which is
not too hot or cold.
4. Why?
• The reason that in the future we might
have to move to another planet is basically
if we trash this world we will not be able to
live here.
• We might also overpopulate and will not
have enough space or natural resources.
5. When?
• Before we move we will have to make our
rockets a lot faster and heaps more
efficient.
• Improvements in technology, engineering
and types of fuel are essential.
• It is unlikely it will be possible to move
from earth within the next 200 years.
6. Who?
• NASA Astro physicists are researching this
and they have sent a satellite called Kepler
to find a suitable planet an are hoping to
get positive results in the next 2 years.
7. How?
• Well obviously we would travel there on a
very fast rocket.
• We are discovering these things using
satellites like Kepler mentioned before.

Goldilocks zone
This diagram shows where the goldilocks zone
is.
9. Conclusion
• Overall if we move it will not be for a long
time and probably will take more efficient
and powerful resources.
