3. ROZMBERG LAKE

4. HISTORY OF ROZMBERG
 It was designed by Rosenberg regent Jakub Krčín of
Jelčany and Sedlčany and built in the 1584 -1590.
 Establishment of a lake at these locations intended
Štěpánek Netolický already, but due to high costs
and dangers of the work could not be realized.
 During the Thirty Years War Karel Bonaventura
Buquoy, Imperial Commander, wanted a dam and
flood tunnel by a professional army. However, during
the long war the lake was abandoned and was
renewed for several decades.
