Department: BU Identification / Engineering
The Senior Digital Verification Engineer is responsible for the definition, implementation and
execution of formal and functional verification methodologies, thus architecting verification
strategies and leading a diverse global design verification team. She/he is been working in
close collaboration with IC & System architects and key customers to ensure IC functionality.
Involved teams are developing ICs for NFC ( Near Field Communication) applications.
She/he is responsible for developing, producing and maintaining internal and external full
chip verification reporting and documentation.
She/he will support actively all on-going development, integration and verification activities in
a fast paced environment. She/he likes to work cross sites in multicultural context and likes
to innovate in product development and verification. She/he reports to the IC Project Leader
and to the NFC Design Manager. She/he has strong experience/background in IC verification
for Mobile ICs.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Develop comprehensive high-quality test environment and simulation infrastructure
for both unit/module and system level verification
• Plan the verification of IC digital design units/modules and full chip by fully
understanding the design specifications and interacting with IC architect and design
engineers to identify important verification scenarios.
• Create and maintain a constrained-random verification environment using System
Verilog and UVM in order to meet functional coverage goals, both on block/unit level
and on a full chip
• Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases
• Debug tests with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design
blocks/modules/units
2. • Close coverage measures to identify verification holes and to show/report progress
towards IC tape-out
• Propose innovative working verification methodologies
• Gives technical guidance to design teams and organize regular training sessions
• Propose patents
• Act as NXP technical representative in front of keys customers during IC verification
campaigns
Skills
• Structured and analytical thinking o Excellent written and oral communication skills o
Used to work in large and multi-cultural team with structured process
• 3+ years experience in IC verification, including experience with constrained-random,
coverage driven verification environments
• Experience developing and working with object oriented verification languages (Vera,
Specman,
• System Verilog, OVM, UVM)
• A solid understanding of object-oriented concepts and experience designing class-based
test benches
• Strong debugging skills, experience in integration
• Good VHDL, RTL and Verilog skills
• Good C/C++, Perl and scripting skills

• Languages : Fluent in English, French
