On Day 4 we will have our 2nd cookery classBut in the heart of veniceOnce we arrive in Venice by train we our guide and chef will take us on a tour of one of the oldest fish and produce markets in Venice at Ponte di RialtoWe will also stop along the way for typical venetian delights – cicchetti – a tasting of wine and venetian finger food .After the class we, we will enjoy our lunch. A local sommelier will guide us through the wines accompnying our meal.After lunch you will have some free time to return enjoy venice or return to the hotel at your leisure.
On day 5 we will check out of the hotel and begin to move west.We will stop in the town of Bassano del Grappa for a guided tour – Bassano is famous as a forefront during the battles of wwi, for the bridge that crosses the river brenta designed by Andrea Palladio as well as its beautiful cermamics. A charming town with one of the oldest grappa distilleries where we will taste the smooth acquavite.Along the way we will stop for lunch and then head towards the valpolicelland amore region close to Verona. Here we will see how the Famous wine is made.We will then reach our hotel on Lake Garda on the Lombardy side in the lake town of desenzano.
The wines of the region are the champagne like Franciacorta. The Oltrepo’ pavese and Lugana whites and theLambrusco.Here is a short video on the beauty of lake garda

On day 6 we willtake the boat to reach Isola del Garda to see the Venitan villa and Gardens After a wine tasting we will reach one of the towns along the lake for lunch.In the afternoon a quick otur of an olive mill will surprise your palate.The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax and stroll along the lake, get pampered at a local spa or do some shopping.
On Day 7 we will have a guidede walking tour of the city of Mantua – an ideal renaissance town.We will then head to IsoladellaScala – an aera between Mantua and Verona where the cultivation of rice is geografically protected. The Riso Nano Vialone – grown from selected seeds and harvested in October.Here we will see the different types of rice and how they can be used from Antipasto to risotto and dessert.While we are there it is also the time of the International rice festival which has reached its 46 the edition.Chefs compete for the best dishes.The festival is delighted by music and gastronomic stands.We will then return to our hotel for an overnight stay
On day 8 we check out of our hotel on Lake Garda and move to the Piedmont region.Piemonte was home to the Savoy kingdom and turin was the first capital of italy.

On Day 0 we will visit Turin – the first cpaital of Italy First just north of turn, The Reggia di venaria – the royal palaces and gardens of the savou familyWe will then transfer to the Lingotto at Eatly – a gastronomic wonderland – here you will find delicacies from every part of Italy.You may have lunch here at any of the themed eateries.In the afternoon a guided tour of the royal city and time for shoppingAfter dinner we will return to the hotel
