Learning the value of money

  2. 2. 5-10 year olds  Many children at there early age start to collect pennies and start to look for pennies underneath the sofas and the bed or anywhere in the house that u can find spare of change. Then they started to put ther money somewhere safe like a piggy bank.
  3. 3. 11-15 year olds  At this age teens are starting to learn how to save up money and earning it bye babysitting or mowing the lawn. Sooner or later they will wanting a savings account at the age of 15. Teens will start asking there friends or neighbor to take care of there pet for 10$.
  4. 4. 16 and over  Teens are now asking for a part time job after school or during the weekend. This will teach them what a job is really like in real life and what experiences it will teach them. This is a good time to teach them to manage a checking account and ATM card. They can also be taught to plan ahead for major expenses such as their first car or education. Teens can become more responsible for buying some of their own clothes and other items that they will need
  5. 5. Adult life……..  At this time teens that are turning into an adult learning to save money and paying there taxes and there insurance. They are now having a job that will give them the opportunity to pay there bills and save money in there banking account. Many adults are learning not to spend on items that they don’t really need instead they should be saving money to buy food or paying there bills there insurance and anything that they need.
  6. 6. Jobs for kids  Baby sitting  Parent helper  House cleaning  Lemonade stand  Pet sitter  Car washing All these jobs should not interfere with normal school work or completing homework for school.
