A colour wheel or colour circle is an abstract
illustrative organization of colour around a circle, which
shows the relationships between primary colours,
secondary colours, tertiary colours etc.
The typical artists' paint or pigment colour wheel
includes the blue, red, and yellow primary colours. The
corresponding secondary colours are green, orange,
and violet or purple. The tertiary colours are green-
yellow, yellow-orange, orange-red, red-violet/purple,
purple/violet-blue and blue-green, they are also called
intermediate colours.
