The hand of electronic media has been extending its reach into many different aspects of our lives
throughout the rise of more advanced technology, starting with the advent of the radio. This new and
exciting age of electronic media feeds into the amazement of our nation, by creating outrageous and
seemingly impossible ways to become connected, that the generation of the radio would have never
imagined. Electronic media has produced a substantial amount of positive impacts in our society,
like allowing us the instant connectivity to world problems and news, but with the invention of the
television, we as a society fell into the trap that television show producers laid out for us. We feel
as though we now have a need for every snippet or shred of news and information to be presented
to us in an entertaining form. This need to feel entertained at all costs stretches into the realm of
religious televised programming as well; to aid in the success of television show ratings, producers
of religious programming have removed any substance or deep spiritual meaning from their
programs in order to appeal to a wider scope of the nation. This indeed seems to be the greatest
expense that the growth of electronic media renders since it rattles the nation's religious core values
and morals. The requirement of having an entertainment based outlook on society is a learned
behavior that develops as soon as a child starts watching television. Using entertaining methods to
teach toddlers

E–Safety Essay
Introduction– E–Safety
E–safety or Electronic safety is about knowing the risks of technology and protecting yourself to feel
safe when interacting with technology. It involves being protected from unsuitable materials and
making sure that technology doesn't impact your life in a negative way severely. It also includes
utilization of information securely. Another aspect of electronic safety is socializing with others
safely. Some dangers of the Internet include phishing, spam, hacking, viruses, interaction with
strangers, etc.
Cyber Bullying
Cyber bullying is the use of technology to intentionally spread rumors or inappropriate content to
harass or harm someone in an aggressive manner. A Cyber bully can be someone you know...show

In 2008 1 million kids claimed to be mistreated on Facebook. Research shows that kids start being
unkind to others online in 2nd grade this is generally commenced by boys but by middle school
girls become more likely to harass others. Some cases of cyber bullying include Amanda Todd and
Tyler Clementi. Amanda was unknowingly posted inappropriate pictures of herself which led to
her being mistreated and losing her respect. She began using drugs, she had major depression and
she began harming herself. She tried to commit suicide by drinking bleach but her attempt failed,
even though survived people constantly wrote messages saying that they hope she died and
perhaps she should use a different kind of bleach this time. A year later she hung herself because
it was too much for her to take. Cyber bullying is a major issue and so there are 45 laws about and
related to cyber bullying to protect you online. In addition to that in 2012 teens created an app
called Back off Bully or BoB, this app enables victims to type in their situation and get advise on
how to protect themselves.
Phishing
Phishing is process of acquiring personal information such as credit card details, usernames and
passwords by masquerading as a trustworthy website. Phishing gets its name from the word fishing
as the phishers hope that the victim "bites" the "bait" by clicking on a malicious link. There are
three main types of phishing, which are: Spear phishing, Clone

English Essay Electronics in Society
In today's society, electronics are what our lives are controlled by and based on. Without
electronics, our lives would be at a standstill and nothing would get done fast enough. Almost
everyone one owns some type of electronic in order to make their lives easier, regardless of the
negative affects it can have on society. With all the positive and negative uses of electronics, the
younger generation still needs to be monitored on how they use these electronics. Parents should
supervise their children's use of electronics and know what they are doing on these high tech
gadgets. Parents staying focused on monitoring their children will allow children to stay more
social, less violent and stay more active in today's society. Children who...show more content...
Violent video games contain blood, fighting and even killing and children that are exposed to this
environment daily will think that violence is accepted and a part of everyday life. They need to
distinguish what is reality and what is fantasy or else they can become confused on how to handle
certain situations. Locks and parental settings can help monitor what your children are viewing and
even prevent them from viewing certain material but it is hard to watch every little thing they are
viewing. With parents monitoring what their children are viewing and playing, they can set time
limits on how long a child uses a device. Children are spending more and more time in front of a
screen than experiencing the world first hand. Almost everyone has access to a television or
computer and would rather be on these electronics than out doing the actual activities. The video
game Wii Fit is a game where you do exercises by watching the television in order to get into
shape, instead of the individual getting out and going to the gym. Children are playing sports
video games instead of picking up a ball and going outside to play with friends. Children lose out
on an active life style if they spend too much time in front of screen. Sitting on a couch all day in
front of a screen is not healthy, if children don't stay active and do

Role of E–commerce in the Social environments: 1. The major role of social media in E–Commerce
is to promote brand awareness. 2. Social media helps passively showing that the brand interacts
with their customers and is easily reachable. 3. Social media has cemented itself in today's society
and changed the way many of us communicate. Not only has it affected the way we interact at an
individual level, but it has also started to impact the way companies do business. E–commerce
reduces delivery time and labor cost thus it has been possible to save the time of both – the vendor
and the consumer. Economic Effects of Ecommerce: 1. Reduction in transaction costs in Ecommerce
compared to traditional commerce as Ecommerce removes the traditional geographical and time
barriers. 2. Ecommerce is of tremendous advantage to a layman, who does not understand the
product– which is new into the market– Ecommerce helps him make a decision by comparing the
prices online and allows this comfort at his home rather than driving to different locations and
accessing the similar product at different stores. 3. Additionally another main advantage has been
shipping of the product to home which saves costs of transportation and time for the buyer.
Business Effects of Ecommerce: 1. Various retail stores of a particular product are now connected
online and they would have a better idea of the costs incurred to get the product from the

Albert Einstein once said that "The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious –the
fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science". This is the feeling I
experienced when I had started observing and analyzing things around me as a kid. Every query
answered urged me to know more and to broaden my horizons–the first steps perhaps towards
research.
Electronics and Communication is an industry that has changed the way we live to a large extent.
It is the industry that is going to shape our lives for many more years to come. My decision for
choosing the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering as my major was not a hasty
one, it was a field that had always fascinated me since I was a kid. The way the light in the
refrigerator automatically switches on/off as it's door is opened or closed; how the channels of a
television can be tuned just by clicking a button on the remote control; how we can talk to people
who live at the opposite end of the world through a telephone; every small mystery fascinated me
but the answers were nor completely conceivable to me and egged me on to know more and expand
my knowledge. Thus I decided to enter the cave of Electronics.

E–Business
E–business is the largest emerging trend in business today. The movement into e–business is
dramatically changing the way people buy and sell. Business is no longer a one for all concept, that
concept is being replaced by a consumer economy that is driven by choice. These choices are not
only in product and price but in shopping environment as well, where their transactions can take
place face to face or in an online environment. Not only are traditional businesses completing their
transactions with other businesses in such an online format, but such transactions are taking place
between businesses and consumers as well as consumers to consumers. The following paper outlines

I have outlined some strengths and weaknesses of business to consumer e–business and the way it is
affecting the relationship between the consumer and merchant using Amazon.com's Virtual Retailing
Model as an example.
Virtual retailing involves the request for and closing of a transaction over the medium of the
Internet, via a web page (http://www.cybersolve.com/retail.html). While the processing of the
transaction, itself, is key to the existence of a virtual retailer, it is not the most important piece. The
key to the success of a virtual retailer, according to Peter G. W. Keen, is the ability of that virtual
retailer "to build strong customer relationships". Amazon.com has by far been one of the most
successful virtual retailers in building strong customer relationships. 70% of Amazon's customers are
repeat customers; this is no surprise when Amazon.com invests 20% of its revenue in attracting
consumers and develops different techniques to "bond with the customers", such as "My Amazon"
Traditionally businesses had to locate themselves, plant themselves several times over in

The Effect of Electronics on Communication Electronics has played a major part in communication
and the developments of it. The first ways of communication not by just talking were the uses of
cans and a piece of string. This worked by the vibrations of the voice vibrating down the string and
into the other person's can. The next major development was the invention of telephones. The first
telephones were large and ugly with large numbers and were difficult to hear, and the switchboards
were done manually by women and children. The next part of communication was the internet. This

These are made really to replace all electronic entertainment items in the household. It is meant to
replace TV, computer, games console, music system and DVD player. These are being run under
an operating system called Windows XP Media Centre Edition, another Microsoft product. These
could take off as they could help having all the different pieces of equipment removed and
replaced with the one piece. A lot of people would need convincing that they need to make the
change as a piece of equipment designed to do everything is not necessarily going to be as good
as a dedicated games console for example. I think that in the future the developments that will
happen will be that most things become electronic, such as always having to have a card with a
barcode on containing your details so that you are always kept tabs on. If this goes ahead it will
not be welcomed by many as many people think that the government have too much information
about them already, and are worried in case the government computers were compromised by a
hacker, meaning he could have access to all their personal details. Another development that will
be coming into play will be hotspots or a place to connect wirelessly to the internet for free.
Companies will be creating hotspots in places such as airports and there will then be a small charge
for using the facility. Some of

Pros And Cons Of Electronic Devices
There are many different opposing views and opinions regarding the use of personal electronic
devices in the classroom. Whether it is beneficial or not, many schools have begun to allow
students to use their own personal devices such as cell phones and laptop computers in the
classroom. Obviously, there are many pros as well as many cons to these policies, and if students
are allowed to use their devices, there must be rules and policies to prevent the abuse of this
resource. Overall, electronic devices are an amazing resource that should be used whenever
possible. We are moving into a digital age, and having devices that can access the internet is
extremely common. Why shouldn't students be allowed to use any resource that will be available
to them later on in life? Personal electronic devices are a beneficial tool that should be allowed to
be used in the classroom. While there are disadvantages, these should be remedied through the
enforcement of policies to restrict the use of these devices.
There are many pros to using personal devices in the classroom. First, allowing students to have
phones gives them instant communication to the outside world on demand. As grim as it sounds, far
too often we hear about terrorism in our schools that may have been prevented if a student could
have called 911 or an emergency number sooner. In addition, many schools are unable to afford
enough computers for each student. If a student has their own personal computer at home that could

Essay about Electronic and Digital Technology
Looking back 15 years ago to the electronic and digital technology we had then compared to what
we have now is incredible to see first hand. Society knew this new technology would come but
never thought it would be here this immediate to where everyone and their grandmother's posse
some form of it. It is deranged that a great deal of individuals hate this new age where technology
is ubiquitous and taking over. Most of them that are not fond of electronic or digital technology
always tend to discourage it by saying that it causes "lack of social skills", it is a "constant
distraction" and sometimes that it has potential to become an "addiction". Personally, I believe it is a
good thing that we have all this new digital/electronic technology...show more content...
Also another illustration of how electronic technology has given the capable to better everyday life
would be for the average user who drives a vehicle, they are now in a position to use their smart
phones to find the cheapest gas around them. This allows consumers to get the most out of the hard
earned money they spend throughout the day on gas. In short this electronic/digital technology
grants us the opportunity to better our lives so we can focus on what is necessary throughout the day
without wasting time. For the most part this is just one example out of the millions of others.
Furthermore, electronic/digital technology has enabled us to expand our knowledge in the fields we
stress most about. When I use my iPhone, most of the time I am gaining wisdom. Either pertaining to
school or my personal preference, either way I am learning. Having this type of technology has
authorized me to go further in–depth with subjects I find most interesting. I have always wanted to
learn coding and learn Spanish but never was able too the way I would like too. However with this
technology I was about to begin gaining knowledge in both subjects with so many different outlets
offer to understand the information. The best part would be how in–depth the lessons go, allowing
me and whoever use this electronic/digitally to learn

Electronic Technician
The world of the electronic technician is dramatically changing; a decade ago these technicians
would be required to repair their equipment through the actual repair of each individual component.
Now the average electronic technician identifies the faulty component and simply replaces it. With
the rapid trend of 3–D printing the job of an electronic technician will change even more. This
change, like many other emerging trends will affect our nation's economic, political, and
climatological environment. Unlike what optimists think, it will not solve such things such as
eliminating poverty or provide cheap energy. Nor will the pessimists get to say "I told you so" as we
enter into atomic war or human extinction. Both of these views are extreme conjecture of what will
happen. Although 3–D...show more content...

advantage by hiring technicians that can not only create parts and repair the systems, but they
would also be able to help with designing more effective method of production. And like the

Electronic Addiction Essay
Electronic Addiction Welcome to the world of the over stimulated, desensitized, and burnt out.
There is a huge problem in our society, a problem that I cannot claim to be free of by any means;
in fact, as I sit here writing this I am feeling its effects. The worst part of this issue is that it started
for me in early childhood, as it did for many others. Kids start younger than ever before and they
use more frequently. The fix is never good enough. New mediums are being created and old ones
are being improved all the time. Our largest industries revolve around it. It seems to create in the

I was two when I first started watching television, three when I watched my first video, four for
my first film in a theater, and I was about six when I first learned to use a computer. As I grow
older I would like to think that I am separating myself from this, but that is not the case. Right
now I sit in front of my computer with my stereo headphones on, playing music from a list of
over four hundred songs, writing poetry to friends over the internet, and using a microphone that
takes the sounds of my environment and feeds them though a maze of green on green circuit
boards and then mixes them with my music and I can hear myself typing this though my music is
rather loud. It is a very surreal experience for it is a new one. Soon, however, as I get used to it, I
will think that something's wrong when I don't have my microphone on. I realize that although I
control the media more, I'm still a heavy user. It has been argued that this new phenomenon of
being able to interact with your media makes it less brain sucking and, in a sense, that is true, but
I would argue that although it does require the user to be thinking and this is a good thing in some
respects, it also distances one further from reality. I am not alone in developing reflexes that are
only usable on a computer interface and attempting to apply them to my real life. I have a close
friend who has tried to strafe out of the way when he thought he saw a terrorist

Do you like your electronic devices? Do you want to use it at school? Well, you have come to the

You would only use these devices for school work nothing else, but only after school. Electronic

A. What is the issue? An Electronic Health Record is a computerized form of a patient's medical
chart. These records allow information to be readily available to authorized providers during a
patient's encounter with the healthcare system. These systems do not only contain medical histories,
current medications and insurance information, they also track patients' diagnoses, treatment plans,
immunization dates, allergies, radiology images and lab tests/results (source). The fundamental
aspect of EHRs is that they are able to share a patient's information quickly across service lines and
even between different healthcare organizations. Information is at the fingertips of lab techs,

B. What is being debated? Electronic Health Systems are equipped with many features that are
designed to reduce medical errors and help navigate patients through the healthcare system. One
system that is worth looking at is the MedicsDocAssistantв„ў (MDAв„ў). MDAв„ў supports many
features such as alerts ("MedicsDocAssistant,"). Alerts will pop up on a provider's screen letting
them know that there is something wrong with the patient's care. Alerts can range from prescription
alerts, warning physicians of potential adverse drug effects or allergy complications, to alerts
pertaining to clinical decisions regarding patient examinations, procedures and screenings that may
be crucial. For example, the system will alert to the physician to remind female patients of a certain
age to schedule a mammogram screening. The objectives of these alerts are to aid in properly
diagnosing patients, identifying gaps in care, running appropriate tests as well as improving patient
outcomes ("How EHR Alerts," 2012). Another beneficial feature of EHR systems is that they allow
different authorized professionals to access your information from anywhere at any point in time. If
a patient checks into the Emergency Room, is moved to Radiology for imaging, then moved to
Orthopedics for surgery and finally placed in a bed for recovery, each individual throughout that
process will have access to that patient's medical records without having to communicate with each
department. This fosters an

Electronic Payment System

With the continuing rapid growth of E–commerce, transactions on the Internet have been increasing
exponentially. And such transactions require some reliable and secure payment systems. In fact, one
of the key factors in the success of E–commerce is the development of convenient, reliable and
secure electronic payment system.
To understand the issues and current activities regarding the development of electronic payment

III. Major issues in designing an electronic payment system
Translating checks or credit card transactions to the Internet requires finding electronic and business
model equivalents for the functions used in the existing paper–based system. The simple model
below illustrates the major issues that must be addressed in designing an electronic payment system.
В· Naming: there must be an unambiguous way of identifying the payers' bank accounts and the
payees' bank accounts.
В· Signatures: it must be possible for the payers' banks to verify that payment instructions were
generated by people authorized to use accounts.
В· Integrity: electronic checks should be difficult to alter.
В· Confirmation: payees must have confirmation that transfers took place; payers must have
notification of transfers out of their accounts.
В· Confidentiality: third parties should not be able to monitor such payments.
В· Settlement: separate banking institutions must have a way of settling their accounts.
Signatures and confidentiality are the two biggest problems in creating digital payment instruments.
These issues are typically handled with some form of cryptography. The use of public and
private–key pairs allows a message to be "signed" digitally and verified by anyone who has the
public key. Some form of public–key infrastructure, such as certificates, must be employed to
associate a named

Electronics in the Classroom Essay
It seems today everything is being done electronically, homework, job, and even college applications
are submitted online. People learn so much through various types of technology. Years ago in the
classrooms there were not as many chances to incorporate technology into the classroom. As the
years progress there have been more technological advances yet there is much controversy over
whether classrooms should be permitted to have their students learn with the new technological
improvements. IPods are helpful to everyday life and could be especially in the classroom, they can
be used to help students study meanwhile act as a stimulate to the mind, beneficial towards getting
work accomplished and in general becoming technologically advanced....show more content...
For the IPod and I pad teachers could have the students download applications that are specific to a
lesson. Something as simple as having students record a lecture and then study it later could go a
long way to engaging and inspiring students. "Really, with the proper attitude and teacher training
and there are plenty of resources on the Web to give ideas and tips to teachers the possibilities are
endless." (Fabiano) Technology is rapidly changing every day and the technology is here to stay
therefore various products should be allowed in classrooms to help aid the teachers.
Furthermore it is obvious that in today's society children and teens are being exposed to even more
technology, even at a young age. If teachers could incorporate different types of technology and
center it around a lesson than it would only help students in the long run. Everything is being done
through technology and it is imperative that students adapt to using it. For most projects that
teachers assign students will usually make a PowerPoint or poster, which is a shame considering all
the other options that are out there. Students are also aware of the student teacher relationship,
teachers talk, and they listen. With these emerging technological products students become aware of
all the types of things they could do to learn "For instance students could explore listening

Many people will argue that history began with the advent of the written word. Before books,
history was passed by word of mouth and was often lost or altered as it went from generation to
generation down through the years. For many years now our civilization has enjoyed books,
journals, newspapers, magazines, and many other types of writing. We use these literary tools to
record our lives, to invent stories from the imagination so powerful that they make writers into
millionaires, and to make news available to the general public. Today, in our technological age, a

Although I personally love the smell of a new book, I agree that there must be a better way to
publish these books. Perhaps electronic text is that way. Rogers certainly believes so. "The Internet
presents all the elements needed for a true reinvention and renaissance of book publishing"
(Rogers). If books were distributed on the web, paper would not be wasted, and publishers would
not be taking a risk because the copies not sold would never have actually been printed – they
simply would never have been downloaded. I believe that the future of e–books is an exciting area
to explore.
There are others who see e–books as more threatening than exciting. They believe that e–books will
one day snuff out current book publishing and that all books will have to be read off of a
computer. It is not only books that those offended by electronic text are worried about. They are
worried about newspapers and periodicals as well. Nicholas Baker is one of those offended. He
writes in his book Double Fold: Libraries and the Assault on Paper about an event he heard of
back in 1999. The British library sold off most of their newspapers in a blind auction (Baker).
These newspapers were not in bad condition as the libraries claimed; they were perfectly preserved.
"Many librarians, however, have managed to convince themselves, and us, that if a newspaper was

(Paul, 2014). E–learning is a developing method to administer education that was adopted, first by
institutions of higher education before being used to educate adults in corporations. Today,
e–learning is viewed as a cost–effective method to train employees in the corporate world. In the
corporate world, administering e–learning content to employees means companies do not have to
fund travel costs to employees to travel to training conferences, employees can schedule training
around their own schedule, and if desired complete training at home. That is to say, a company can
capitalize on an employee's time on the clock by giving them more flexibility to complete training
while at work or on their own time at home.
E–learning Design and Transfer of Training While, e–learning can be administered in many different
forms as previously described whether through an online interface such as Blackboard or through
virtual classrooms. The way these mediums are structured to administer training can have an effect
on a learner's ability to; in fact learn something from the training content to

Just another hour, please! This is what most parents hear from their children/adolescent every
time it is time to stop using an electronic device. Children and adolescents today spend "1 to 3
hours per day during the week and between 1 to 4 hours per day on the weekends" (Kappos, A.D.
pg. 556) on computer games, viewing videos, watching television and internet surfing to name a
few. The use of electronic devices has changed the life of children/adolescent and have exposed
them to a volatile and irreparable outcome, in their social interaction with peers and family,
self–perception, behavior and sleep pattern.
It is now a standard in today's school and at home to have access to a computer to complete
homework assignment and projects. The additional stress to perform has risen and has caused
unwanted stress and anxiety in school age children. Due to the ease of accessibility of cellular
phones and tablets today, it has become harder to monitor what your child/adolescent. "Only about
three in ten young people say they have rules about how much time they can spend watching TV
(28%) or playing video games (30%) and 36% say the same about using the computer. When parents
do set limits, children spend less time with media: those with any media rules consume nearly 3
hours less media per day, than those with rules" (Kaiserfamilyfoundation.wordpress.com. 2010).
Media present in the bedroom effects on sleep in children/adolescents consequences can be both
physical and mental.

Electronic Essay

  • 1. The hand of electronic media has been extending its reach into many different aspects of our lives throughout the rise of more advanced technology, starting with the advent of the radio. This new and exciting age of electronic media feeds into the amazement of our nation, by creating outrageous and seemingly impossible ways to become connected, that the generation of the radio would have never imagined. Electronic media has produced a substantial amount of positive impacts in our society, like allowing us the instant connectivity to world problems and news, but with the invention of the television, we as a society fell into the trap that television show producers laid out for us. We feel as though we now have a need for every snippet or shred of news and information to be presented to us in an entertaining form. This need to feel entertained at all costs stretches into the realm of religious televised programming as well; to aid in the success of television show ratings, producers of religious programming have removed any substance or deep spiritual meaning from their programs in order to appeal to a wider scope of the nation. This indeed seems to be the greatest expense that the growth of electronic media renders since it rattles the nation's religious core values and morals. The requirement of having an entertainment based outlook on society is a learned behavior that develops as soon as a child starts watching television. Using entertaining methods to teach toddlers Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. E–Safety Essay Introduction– E–Safety E–safety or Electronic safety is about knowing the risks of technology and protecting yourself to feel safe when interacting with technology. It involves being protected from unsuitable materials and making sure that technology doesn't impact your life in a negative way severely. It also includes utilization of information securely. Another aspect of electronic safety is socializing with others safely. Some dangers of the Internet include phishing, spam, hacking, viruses, interaction with strangers, etc. Cyber Bullying Cyber bullying is the use of technology to intentionally spread rumors or inappropriate content to harass or harm someone in an aggressive manner. A Cyber bully can be someone you know...show more content... In 2008 1 million kids claimed to be mistreated on Facebook. Research shows that kids start being unkind to others online in 2nd grade this is generally commenced by boys but by middle school girls become more likely to harass others. Some cases of cyber bullying include Amanda Todd and Tyler Clementi. Amanda was unknowingly posted inappropriate pictures of herself which led to her being mistreated and losing her respect. She began using drugs, she had major depression and she began harming herself. She tried to commit suicide by drinking bleach but her attempt failed, even though survived people constantly wrote messages saying that they hope she died and perhaps she should use a different kind of bleach this time. A year later she hung herself because it was too much for her to take. Cyber bullying is a major issue and so there are 45 laws about and related to cyber bullying to protect you online. In addition to that in 2012 teens created an app called Back off Bully or BoB, this app enables victims to type in their situation and get advise on how to protect themselves. Phishing Phishing is process of acquiring personal information such as credit card details, usernames and passwords by masquerading as a trustworthy website. Phishing gets its name from the word fishing as the phishers hope that the victim "bites" the "bait" by clicking on a malicious link. There are three main types of phishing, which are: Spear phishing, Clone Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. English Essay Electronics in Society In today's society, electronics are what our lives are controlled by and based on. Without electronics, our lives would be at a standstill and nothing would get done fast enough. Almost everyone one owns some type of electronic in order to make their lives easier, regardless of the negative affects it can have on society. With all the positive and negative uses of electronics, the younger generation still needs to be monitored on how they use these electronics. Parents should supervise their children's use of electronics and know what they are doing on these high tech gadgets. Parents staying focused on monitoring their children will allow children to stay more social, less violent and stay more active in today's society. Children who...show more content... Violent video games contain blood, fighting and even killing and children that are exposed to this environment daily will think that violence is accepted and a part of everyday life. They need to distinguish what is reality and what is fantasy or else they can become confused on how to handle certain situations. Locks and parental settings can help monitor what your children are viewing and even prevent them from viewing certain material but it is hard to watch every little thing they are viewing. With parents monitoring what their children are viewing and playing, they can set time limits on how long a child uses a device. Children are spending more and more time in front of a screen than experiencing the world first hand. Almost everyone has access to a television or computer and would rather be on these electronics than out doing the actual activities. The video game Wii Fit is a game where you do exercises by watching the television in order to get into shape, instead of the individual getting out and going to the gym. Children are playing sports video games instead of picking up a ball and going outside to play with friends. Children lose out on an active life style if they spend too much time in front of screen. Sitting on a couch all day in front of a screen is not healthy, if children don't stay active and do Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Role of E–commerce in the Social environments: 1. The major role of social media in E–Commerce is to promote brand awareness. 2. Social media helps passively showing that the brand interacts with their customers and is easily reachable. 3. Social media has cemented itself in today's society and changed the way many of us communicate. Not only has it affected the way we interact at an individual level, but it has also started to impact the way companies do business. E–commerce reduces delivery time and labor cost thus it has been possible to save the time of both – the vendor and the consumer. Economic Effects of Ecommerce: 1. Reduction in transaction costs in Ecommerce compared to traditional commerce as Ecommerce removes the traditional geographical and time barriers. 2. Ecommerce is of tremendous advantage to a layman, who does not understand the product– which is new into the market– Ecommerce helps him make a decision by comparing the prices online and allows this comfort at his home rather than driving to different locations and accessing the similar product at different stores. 3. Additionally another main advantage has been shipping of the product to home which saves costs of transportation and time for the buyer. Business Effects of Ecommerce: 1. • 5. Albert Einstein once said that "The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious –the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science". This is the feeling I experienced when I had started observing and analyzing things around me as a kid. Every query answered urged me to know more and to broaden my horizons–the first steps perhaps towards research. Electronics and Communication is an industry that has changed the way we live to a large extent. It is the industry that is going to shape our lives for many more years to come. My decision for choosing the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering as my major was not a hasty one, it was a field that had always fascinated me since I was a kid. The way the light in the refrigerator automatically switches on/off as it's door is opened or closed; how the channels of a television can be tuned just by clicking a button on the remote control; how we can talk to people who live at the opposite end of the world through a telephone; every small mystery fascinated me but the answers were nor completely conceivable to me and egged me on to know more and expand my knowledge. Business is no longer a one for all concept, that concept is being replaced by a consumer economy that is driven by choice. These choices are not only in product and price but in shopping environment as well, where their transactions can take place face to face or in an online environment. Not only are traditional businesses completing their transactions with other businesses in such an online format, but such transactions are taking place between businesses and consumers as well as consumers to consumers. I have outlined some strengths and weaknesses of business to consumer e–business and the way it is affecting the relationship between the consumer and merchant using Amazon.com's Virtual Retailing Model as an example. Virtual retailing involves the request for and closing of a transaction over the medium of the Internet, via a web page (http://www.cybersolve.com/retail.html). While the processing of the transaction, itself, is key to the existence of a virtual retailer, it is not the most important piece. The key to the success of a virtual retailer, according to Peter G. W. Keen, is the ability of that virtual retailer "to build strong customer relationships". Amazon.com has by far been one of the most successful virtual retailers in building strong customer relationships. 70% of Amazon's customers are repeat customers; this is no surprise when Amazon.com invests 20% of its revenue in attracting consumers and develops different techniques to "bond with the customers", such as "My Amazon" (http://www.computerworld.com/home/print.nsf/all/990614AD62 ). • 7. The Effect of Electronics on Communication Electronics has played a major part in communication and the developments of it. The first ways of communication not by just talking were the uses of cans and a piece of string. This worked by the vibrations of the voice vibrating down the string and into the other person's can. The next major development was the invention of telephones. The first telephones were large and ugly with large numbers and were difficult to hear, and the switchboards were done manually by women and children. The next part of communication was the internet. This was first brought into use by the armies who wanted to move data from one computer to the other without the use of...show more content... These are being run under an operating system called Windows XP Media Centre Edition, another Microsoft product. A lot of people would need convincing that they need to make the change as a piece of equipment designed to do everything is not necessarily going to be as good as a dedicated games console for example. I think that in the future the developments that will happen will be that most things become electronic, such as always having to have a card with a barcode on containing your details so that you are always kept tabs on. If this goes ahead it will not be welcomed by many as many people think that the government have too much information about them already, and are worried in case the government computers were compromised by a hacker, meaning he could have access to all their personal details. Another development that will be coming into play will be hotspots or a place to connect wirelessly to the internet for free. Companies will be creating hotspots in places such as airports and there will then be a small charge for using the facility. Some of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Pros And Cons Of Electronic Devices There are many different opposing views and opinions regarding the use of personal electronic devices in the classroom. Whether it is beneficial or not, many schools have begun to allow students to use their own personal devices such as cell phones and laptop computers in the classroom. Obviously, there are many pros as well as many cons to these policies, and if students are allowed to use their devices, there must be rules and policies to prevent the abuse of this resource. Overall, electronic devices are an amazing resource that should be used whenever possible. We are moving into a digital age, and having devices that can access the internet is extremely common. Why shouldn't students be allowed to use any resource that will be available to them later on in life? Personal electronic devices are a beneficial tool that should be allowed to be used in the classroom. While there are disadvantages, these should be remedied through the enforcement of policies to restrict the use of these devices. There are many pros to using personal devices in the classroom. First, allowing students to have phones gives them instant communication to the outside world on demand. As grim as it sounds, far too often we hear about terrorism in our schools that may have been prevented if a student could have called 911 or an emergency number sooner. In addition, many schools are unable to afford enough computers for each student. If a student has their own personal computer at home that could be Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Society knew this new technology would come but never thought it would be here this immediate to where everyone and their grandmother's posse some form of it. It is deranged that a great deal of individuals hate this new age where technology is ubiquitous and taking over. Most of them that are not fond of electronic or digital technology always tend to discourage it by saying that it causes "lack of social skills", it is a "constant distraction" and sometimes that it has potential to become an "addiction". Personally, I believe it is a good thing that we have all this new digital/electronic technology...show more content... This allows consumers to get the most out of the hard earned money they spend throughout the day on gas. In short this electronic/digital technology grants us the opportunity to better our lives so we can focus on what is necessary throughout the day without wasting time. For the most part this is just one example out of the millions of others. Furthermore, electronic/digital technology has enabled us to expand our knowledge in the fields we stress most about. When I use my iPhone, most of the time I am gaining wisdom. Either pertaining to school or my personal preference, either way I am learning. Having this type of technology has authorized me to go further in–depth with subjects I find most interesting. I have always wanted to learn coding and learn Spanish but never was able too the way I would like too. However with this technology I was about to begin gaining knowledge in both subjects with so many different outlets offer to understand the information. • 10. Electronic Technician The world of the electronic technician is dramatically changing; a decade ago these technicians would be required to repair their equipment through the actual repair of each individual component. Now the average electronic technician identifies the faulty component and simply replaces it. With the rapid trend of 3–D printing the job of an electronic technician will change even more. This change, like many other emerging trends will affect our nation's economic, political, and climatological environment. Unlike what optimists think, it will not solve such things such as eliminating poverty or provide cheap energy. Nor will the pessimists get to say "I told you so" as we enter into atomic war or human extinction. Both of these views are extreme conjecture of what will happen. Although 3–D...show more content... The worst part of this issue is that it started for me in early childhood, as it did for many others. Kids start younger than ever before and they use more frequently. The fix is never good enough. New mediums are being created and old ones are being improved all the time. Our largest industries revolve around it. It seems to create in the users a need for more and more; it is an unending cycle that eventually can destroy one's life socially and in every other way too. When...show more content... I was two when I first started watching television, three when I watched my first video, four for my first film in a theater, and I was about six when I first learned to use a computer. As I grow older I would like to think that I am separating myself from this, but that is not the case. Right now I sit in front of my computer with my stereo headphones on, playing music from a list of over four hundred songs, writing poetry to friends over the internet, and using a microphone that takes the sounds of my environment and feeds them though a maze of green on green circuit boards and then mixes them with my music and I can hear myself typing this though my music is rather loud. It is a very surreal experience for it is a new one. Soon, however, as I get used to it, I will think that something's wrong when I don't have my microphone on. I realize that although I control the media more, I'm still a heavy user. It has been argued that this new phenomenon of being able to interact with your media makes it less brain sucking and, in a sense, that is true, but I would argue that although it does require the user to be thinking and this is a good thing in some respects, it also distances one further from reality. I am not alone in developing reflexes that are only usable on a computer interface and attempting to apply them to my real life. I have a close friend who has tried to strafe out of the way when he thought he saw a terrorist Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Persuasive Essay Do you like your electronic devices? Do you want to use it at school? Well, you have come to the right place. By electronics in school can mean you can use your phones, laptops, Ipods, and tablets in school. Not only these devices but more like a Playstation Portable(PSP) or a Dual Screen(DS). You would only use these devices for school work nothing else, but only after school. Electronic devices should be used in school because they can be used in an emergency, increases students organization, and for educational purposes. To begin with, cell phones are needed in school because a student can have an emergency. As teens get older they are becoming more independent. Electronic devices should be allowed in school because it increases students organization. To continue, electronic devices are mostly used for educational purposes in school. In most schools electronics are mostly used for researching and playing learning games/apps like First In Math. Researching can be for a persuasive essay and for projects. "Officials at the schools say the students' own devices are the simplest way to use a new generation of learning apps that can,"(Richel 2013). Learning apps like Edmodo and Engrade are both a social apps/websites where students and teachers can communicate about school work. As a result, when a teacher posts a homework or a project, students can submit it online through these two social apps. Furthermore, another educational purpose would be studying for a quiz or a test. You can do online quizzes to study or practice flash cards online to help with a test. • 13. Electronic Health Records Essay A. What is the issue? An Electronic Health Record is a computerized form of a patient's medical chart. These records allow information to be readily available to authorized providers during a patient's encounter with the healthcare system. These systems do not only contain medical histories, current medications and insurance information, they also track patients' diagnoses, treatment plans, immunization dates, allergies, radiology images and lab tests/results (source). The fundamental aspect of EHRs is that they are able to share a patient's information quickly across service lines and even between different healthcare organizations. Information is at the fingertips of lab techs, primary care physicians, pharmacies, clinics, etc. The...show more content... B. What is being debated? Electronic Health Systems are equipped with many features that are designed to reduce medical errors and help navigate patients through the healthcare system. One system that is worth looking at is the MedicsDocAssistantв„ў (MDAв„ў). MDAв„ў supports many features such as alerts ("MedicsDocAssistant,"). Alerts will pop up on a provider's screen letting them know that there is something wrong with the patient's care. Alerts can range from prescription alerts, warning physicians of potential adverse drug effects or allergy complications, to alerts pertaining to clinical decisions regarding patient examinations, procedures and screenings that may be crucial. For example, the system will alert to the physician to remind female patients of a certain age to schedule a mammogram screening. The objectives of these alerts are to aid in properly diagnosing patients, identifying gaps in care, running appropriate tests as well as improving patient outcomes ("How EHR Alerts," 2012). Another beneficial feature of EHR systems is that they allow different authorized professionals to access your information from anywhere at any point in time. If a patient checks into the Emergency Room, is moved to Radiology for imaging, then moved to Orthopedics for surgery and finally placed in a bed for recovery, each individual throughout that process will have access to that patient's medical records without having to communicate with each department. • 14. Essay on Electronic Payment System Electronic Payment System I. Introduction With the continuing rapid growth of E–commerce, transactions on the Internet have been increasing exponentially. And such transactions require some reliable and secure payment systems. In fact, one of the key factors in the success of E–commerce is the development of convenient, reliable and secure electronic payment system. To understand the issues and current activities regarding the development of electronic payment system, I discuss the following in this paper. В· Existing paper–based payment system В· Major issues in designing an electronic payment system В· Electronic payment system II....show more content... III. Major issues in designing an electronic payment system Translating checks or credit card transactions to the Internet requires finding electronic and business model equivalents for the functions used in the existing paper–based system. The simple model below illustrates the major issues that must be addressed in designing an electronic payment system. В· Naming: there must be an unambiguous way of identifying the payers' bank accounts and the payees' bank accounts. В· Signatures: it must be possible for the payers' banks to verify that payment instructions were generated by people authorized to use accounts. В· Integrity: electronic checks should be difficult to alter. В· Confirmation: payees must have confirmation that transfers took place; payers must have notification of transfers out of their accounts. В· Confidentiality: third parties should not be able to monitor such payments. В· Settlement: separate banking institutions must have a way of settling their accounts.
  • 15. Signatures and confidentiality are the two biggest problems in creating digital payment instruments. These issues are typically handled with some form of cryptography. The use of public and private–key pairs allows a message to be "signed" digitally and verified by anyone who has the public key. Some form of public–key infrastructure, such as certificates, must be employed to associate a named Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Electronics in the Classroom Essay It seems today everything is being done electronically, homework, job, and even college applications are submitted online. People learn so much through various types of technology. Years ago in the classrooms there were not as many chances to incorporate technology into the classroom. As the years progress there have been more technological advances yet there is much controversy over whether classrooms should be permitted to have their students learn with the new technological improvements. IPods are helpful to everyday life and could be especially in the classroom, they can be used to help students study meanwhile act as a stimulate to the mind, beneficial towards getting work accomplished and in general becoming technologically advanced....show more content... For the IPod and I pad teachers could have the students download applications that are specific to a lesson. Something as simple as having students record a lecture and then study it later could go a long way to engaging and inspiring students. "Really, with the proper attitude and teacher training and there are plenty of resources on the Web to give ideas and tips to teachers the possibilities are endless." (Fabiano) Technology is rapidly changing every day and the technology is here to stay therefore various products should be allowed in classrooms to help aid the teachers. Furthermore it is obvious that in today's society children and teens are being exposed to even more technology, even at a young age. If teachers could incorporate different types of technology and center it around a lesson than it would only help students in the long run. Everything is being done through technology and it is imperative that students adapt to using it. For most projects that teachers assign students will usually make a PowerPoint or poster, which is a shame considering all the other options that are out there. Students are also aware of the student teacher relationship, teachers talk, and they listen. With these emerging technological products students become aware of all the types of things they could do to learn "For instance students could explore listening Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Electronic Text Essay Electronic Text Many people will argue that history began with the advent of the written word. Before books, history was passed by word of mouth and was often lost or altered as it went from generation to generation down through the years. For many years now our civilization has enjoyed books, journals, newspapers, magazines, and many other types of writing. We use these literary tools to record our lives, to invent stories from the imagination so powerful that they make writers into millionaires, and to make news available to the general public. Today, in our technological age, a new form of literary expression is taking place. With the invention of the internet and the trend towards more of the population using it as a...show more content... Although I personally love the smell of a new book, I agree that there must be a better way to publish these books. Perhaps electronic text is that way. Rogers certainly believes so. "The Internet presents all the elements needed for a true reinvention and renaissance of book publishing" (Rogers). If books were distributed on the web, paper would not be wasted, and publishers would not be taking a risk because the copies not sold would never have actually been printed – they simply would never have been downloaded. I believe that the future of e–books is an exciting area to explore. There are others who see e–books as more threatening than exciting. They believe that e–books will one day snuff out current book publishing and that all books will have to be read off of a computer. It is not only books that those offended by electronic text are worried about. They are worried about newspapers and periodicals as well. Nicholas Baker is one of those offended. He writes in his book Double Fold: Libraries and the Assault on Paper about an event he heard of back in 1999. The British library sold off most of their newspapers in a blind auction (Baker). These newspapers were not in bad condition as the libraries claimed; they were perfectly preserved. "Many librarians, however, have managed to convince themselves, and us, that if a newspaper was printed after 1870 or so, it will inevitably Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 20. E Learning : Using Electronic Learning Essay E–Learning Better known as electronic learning, e–learning is defined as a "wide set of applications and processes, such as web–based learning, computer–based learning, virtual classrooms, and digital collaboration. It includes delivery of content via internet, intranet/extranet, LAN/WAN (local area network/ wide area network) audio/videotape, satellite broadcast, interactive TV, and CD–ROM" (Paul, 2014). E–learning is a developing method to administer education that was adopted, first by institutions of higher education before being used to educate adults in corporations. Today, e–learning is viewed as a cost–effective method to train employees in the corporate world. In the corporate world, administering e–learning content to employees means companies do not have to fund travel costs to employees to travel to training conferences, employees can schedule training around their own schedule, and if desired complete training at home. That is to say, a company can capitalize on an employee's time on the clock by giving them more flexibility to complete training while at work or on their own time at home. E–learning Design and Transfer of Training While, e–learning can be administered in many different forms as previously described whether through an online interface such as Blackboard or through virtual classrooms. • 21. Just another hour, please! This is what most parents hear from their children/adolescent every time it is time to stop using an electronic device. Children and adolescents today spend "1 to 3 hours per day during the week and between 1 to 4 hours per day on the weekends" (Kappos, A.D. pg. 556) on computer games, viewing videos, watching television and internet surfing to name a few. The use of electronic devices has changed the life of children/adolescent and have exposed them to a volatile and irreparable outcome, in their social interaction with peers and family, self–perception, behavior and sleep pattern. It is now a standard in today's school and at home to have access to a computer to complete homework assignment and projects. The additional stress to perform has risen and has caused unwanted stress and anxiety in school age children. Due to the ease of accessibility of cellular phones and tablets today, it has become harder to monitor what your child/adolescent. "Only about three in ten young people say they have rules about how much time they can spend watching TV (28%) or playing video games (30%) and 36% say the same about using the computer. When parents do set limits, children spend less time with media: those with any media rules consume nearly 3 hours less media per day, than those with rules" (Kaiserfamilyfoundation.wordpress.com. 2010). Media present in the bedroom effects on sleep in children/adolescents consequences can be both physical and mental. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
