todays music industry. This
includes: universal music
group, Sony music
entertainment, warner music
group and emi music
publishing. All of the
following are owned by live
nation which the biggest
music venue owner and
promoter which in control of
the lie music industry not
only that but they promote
music on different mass
media platforms.
2. Universal music group was founded in 1934. it is the largest of the big four music
institutions. They finance and help to discover emerging talent such as singers
and songwriters. They are huge promoters and use multimedia platforms such
as YouTube. Some of their artists include: Mariah carey, Kanye West, lady gaga
and Taylor swift.
Warner music group was founded in 1958. warner music is responsible for artist
management and different marketing methods to help promote their music.
Sony music was formed in 1887 and remains the oldest label in the history of the
recording industry. It has created smaller labels including Columbia records and
roc nation.
EMI- was founded in 1931 and is the smallest of the big 4. emi is a British based
company and is based In London.
