2. 1962: Stan Lee and Jack Kirby create "The Incredible Hulk" comic book. The book lasted 6 issues and
had the first appearance of the Grey Hulk.
1964: Giant-Man was starring in a comic book called Tales to Astonish. In issue number 59, he fought
the Hulk. The next issue, #60, the Tales to Astonish comic book split into two sections. The first half a
story starring Giant-Man and the second half starring the Hulk. In issue #70, The Sub-Mariner took over
Giant-Man's place.
1968: The Hulk officially takes over the entire book and it is renamed "The Incredible Hulk" which
explains why you will never find issues #7-101 for The Incredible Hulk.
1977: A large-style magazine titled "The Rampaging Hulk" debuts. The stories are later said to be
imaginary.
1998: A new comic book called "The Rampaging Hulk" debuts and deals with stories early in the history
of the Hulk before anybody knew Bruce Banner was the Hulk. It lasts 6 issues.
1999: "The Incredible Hulk" comic book ends it's run at #474.
1999: "The Hulk" debuts and starts at issue #1.
2000: Starting with issue #12, The "Incredible" is added back to the title. And there was much
rejoicing.
