Introduction to short story

2. About myself:
Hello all, my name is Ian O’Donnell
I am currently a senior in New Paltz majoring in
electrical engineering.
I am taking this class to fulfill a GE and have an
easier course load next semester.
I’m from New York and will be in New York all
winter
My experience with short stories is that I almost
always find the first page to be really hard to get
through.

3. Favorite Authors
Honestly, my favorite book/series will always be the
Wizard of Oz series by L Frank Braum. Was just an
enjoyable story to read
I tend to enjoy fiction more than nonfiction, including
Eragon and The hobbit.
Some other books I enjoyed include The Giver, Lord
of the Flies and Animal Farm.

4. More about myself
I haven’t read much in college. I discovered that
TV has replaced books for me and I’ve accepted
that.
For the past two years I have lived with an
English major that takes pleasure in complaining
to me on how hard reading is.
I have a twin brother and an older sister.
I actually do enjoy reading and think this will be a
fun class.
