WHAT IS CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE
 It involves progressive & irreversible loss
of kidney functioning
 Defined as either presence of
 Kidney damage
 Pathological abnormalities
 Glomerular filtration rate (GFR)
 <60 ml/min for 3 months or longer

visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
Uremia
• is clinical syndrome that results from profound loss
of renal function
• cause(s) of it remains unknown
• rerers generally to the constellation of signs and
symptoms associated with CRF, regardless of cause
• presentations and severity of signs and symptoms
of uremia vary and depend on
• the magnitude of reduction in functioning renal
mass
• rapidity with which renal function is lost
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
Uremia
the most likely candidates as toxins in uremia
are the by–products of protein and amino acid
metabolism
 Urea – represents some 80% of the total nitrogen
excreted into the urine
 Guanidino compunds: guanidine, creatinine,
creatin, guanidin-succinic acid)
 Urates and other end products of nucleic acid
metabolism
 Aliphatic amines
 Peptides
 Derivates of the aromatic amino acids: tryptophan,
tyrosine, and phenylalanine
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
Metabolic acidosis
Metabolic acidosis of CRF is not due to
overproduction of endogenous acids
but is largely a reflection of the
reduction in renal mass, which limits
the amount of NH3 (and therefore
HCO3
-
) that can be generated
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
What we can do at home
• Potassium restriction
– 2 to 4 g
– High-potassium foods should be avoided
• Oranges
• Bananas
• Tomatoes
• Green vegetables
• Phosphate restriction
– 1000 mg/day
– Foods high in phosphate
• Dairy products
– Most foods high in phosphate are also high in calcium
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
Allopathic Management
• Depending on the underlying cause, some
types of kidney disease can be treated.
• Often, though, chronic kidney disease has no
cure.
• In general, treatment consists of measures
to help control signs and symptoms, reduce
complications, and slow progression of the
disease.
• If the kidneys become severely damaged, the
person may need treatment for end-stage
kidney disease.
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
 Medications to lower cholesterol levels:
People with chronic kidney disease often
experience high levels of bad cholesterol,
which can increase the risk of heart disease. So
statins are mostly given.
 Medications to treat anemia: In certain
situations, the supplements of the hormone
erythropoietin sometimes with added iron are
given.
 Medications to relieve swelling
Medications called diuretics can help maintain
the balance of fluids in the body.
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
 Medications to protect bones: Calcium and
vitamin D supplements are given to prevent
weak bones and lower risk of fracture.
 A lower protein diet to minimize waste
products in your blood: As the body
processes protein from foods, it creates waste
products that kidneys must filter from blood. To
reduce the amount of work kidneys must do, so
it is recommended eating less protein.
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
 Treatment for end-stage kidney disease:
If your kidneys can't keep up with waste and fluid
clearance on their own and the person develop
complete or near-complete kidney failure, it is called
as end-stage kidney disease. So that time following
things are recommended:
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
• Dialysis. Dialysis artificially removes
waste products and extra fluid from the
blood when the kidneys can no longer do
this.
• Kidney transplant. A kidney transplant
involves surgically placing a healthy
kidney from a donor into your body. The
person needs to take medications for the
rest of the life to keep the body from
rejecting the new organ.
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
Homoeopathic Management
• Homeopathy treatment aims to halt the
progression of illness.
• It also strives to reverse any damage that
might have already happened to kidney
which can be resolved through
Homeopathic medicines and which is not
permanent as yet.
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
Homoeopathic Management
• If the permanent damage is already set-in
in some part of kidney, homeopathic
treatment tries to save the remaining part
of kidney, thus offering a compensatory
relief.
• The treatment also tries to manage the
healthy kidney to drain effectively without
the need for dialysis.
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
Welling Homoeopathic management
Management of all stages of the CKD
Management of other associated
complaints
Management of complications of the CKD
Improve the overall general health of the
CKD patients
Advising the auxillary line of treatments in
CKD
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
• The Homeopathic treatment protocol
developed at Welling Clinic has been effective
for over a decade in controlling creatine and
urea levels.
• Our patients have been living a healthy life
without dialysis and a better quality of life.
Welling Homoeopathic management
visit: www.welling.co.in | Call: 80 80 850 950
• We offer our treatment through our clinics in
Mumbai and through our state-of-art online
consultation platform, we consult and send
medication to patients from over 72 countries
and to all major cities of India.
